“It wasn't more than a couple of minutes before Gideon's breath was evening out and his grip loosened at Leon's sore wrists and dropped to his slowly stilling sides.
He nodded almost imperceptibly; no words of confirmation, but the gesture was enough. Leon gently pulled the visor away from Gideon's head, carefully settling a couple of strands of silvery hair that had been pulled along with the metal goggles back into place.
They were greasy, but shockingly soft between his fingertips. Leon could only imagine how soft they would be once they were washed, conditioned, and brushed properly through his fingers.”
A.k.a Victor Gideon is fucking filthy and touch starved and desperately needs a bath. Who better to take care of him than the famously protective agent Leon S. Kennedy.

While investigating the origins of the mysterious affliction that's decaying Leon from the outside in, he finds his lead in a demented Umbrella researcher who's obsessed with not only the evolutionary prospects of the T-Virus, but also a random F.B.I. Agent with too much anxiety to be surviving the end of the world. Stuck in a mansion disguised as a chronic care center that looks way too much like a certain police department, Leon follows his lead deeper into the Ozarks, unwillingly brought to the beginning of it all.
And at the other side of the building is Chris Redfield, following a lead his team discovered concerning Oswell E. Spencer's final research, and mentions of an ARK. He stumbles across the F.B.I. Agent that he also agrees should not be here, and they work their way through the same manor, hoping to rescue a trapped, blind girl. When Chris is faced with another failure, he finds comfort in being at Leon's side once again, as the call of their mission brings them to the hollowed out corpse of Chris's old home-- Raccoon City.

It became too much, the sincerity Chris offered, the patience, the way he waited for the other shoe to drop, and Leon looked away, glancing at their joined hands, and it was then that he saw a ring on Chris' finger as well, one that matched his own. He let himself dream, for a moment, let himself fly away in search of a world where his wishes were not impossible, just another fact, and his filter crunched under the weight of it all, so he spoke next.
"Are you married?" Was the question, and Leon bit his lip, looked up and prayed for his words to pass as a joke.
As a joke they passed, because Chris laughed at his question, punching Leon's shoulder lightly.
"Yes, to an idiot." He said, laughter still a glistening shine decorating his face, making his pretty wrinkles pop.

His mouth crooked open as if to speak yet still no sound came. Leon took a step closer. His hand rested firmly on Requiem where it was nestled in the holster tucked against his ribcage. Two rounds remained after he dealt the death blow to Gideon. He estimated it wouldn't take more than one shot to put Zeno out of his misery. His thumb stroked the wing pattern of the grip thoughtfully. The other man flinched away from the agent. He squeezed his eyes shut as if he were expecting the blast of the gun to be his last taste of the living world. Shoulders hunched, Zeno tucked himself further under his lean-to of rubble as if he were afraid.
Of Leon of all people.
