Summary
Before Hogwarts, the Black brothers used to share everything, and leave the rest of the world outside. But when Sirius leaves for school, the world seems to come between them, no matter how much Sirius would like to take Regulus with him into his new life.
Regulus should be jealous of his brother's new best friend, but can't bring himself to hate him. James can't help but love the younger Black, and Sirius just wants to steal Regulus away from their pathetic excuse for a home. Can they save Regulus in time, or is the world going to separate Black brothers for good?
The story starts from 1971, and is going to be a long one, following Sirius, Regulus, James and Remus through their school years and Wizarding War I. It's going to be canon compliant in the beginning, but not for too long.

Summary
What do you do when everything you know comes to an end?
The battle is over, Voldemort's gone, everything they ever wanted has come to pass. So why is it so hard to return to a “normal” life? How does one simply pick up the pieces and move on? When your entire life and identity have revolved around this one thing for so long… what do you do you have left of yourself when that one thing is over?
Or… an excuse to do an 8th year story addressing the aftermath of the war and what it means to realize you’ve lost everything in the process of winning… But maybe it’s all just part of the process of becoming who you were meant to be.

Harry had expected a few things when returning for his Eighth Year. Rooming with Ron, a cheeky Firewhisky down at the pub, leaving his assignments to the last minute – those were all but certain to occur.
His list of certainties definitely hadn’t included McGonagall’s shake-up of the curriculum, which tasked the Eighth Years with the responsibility of parenthood for three weeks. Caring for a baby Transfigured from a sack of flour would have been alright if: 1) Malfoy wasn’t Harry’s assigned partner, 2) Their baby’s one goal in life wasn’t to spite Harry, and 3) Malfoy wasn’t infuriatingly good at fake parenthood.
