Summary
When Harry returns to Hogwarts as Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor after years of refusing to come back, he does so with a clear warning from the headmistress that any missteps between him and Draco, now Potions Professor and Head of Slytherin, will not be tolerated. And in a way, she's right.
The problem is that Hogwarts doesn't seem to share the same opinion. An ancient magical mechanism has awakened and seems to want to completely cling to Harry and Draco's magic, causing an explosive reaction and forcing them to share space more than once while confronting their complicated past and future.

Years after Voldemort's defeat, the Muggles discovered the world of wizards. But instead of fear, they were consumed by desire, desire for magical power. They became obsessed with understanding and harnessing the wizards' abilities.
Some Muggles, driven by ambition and greed, began to experiment on wizards, subjecting them to inhumane tests and treating them like lab rats. They sought to extract their magical powers, disregarding the wizards' rights and dignity.
Others, fueled by superstition and ignorance, feared the wizards and saw them as a threat to their way of life. They demanded that the government take action against the wizards, calling for their segregation and persecution.
Harry, who had once saved the wizarding world from Voldemort, was now powerless to stop the Muggles' abuse. He watched in horror as his friends and family were taken away, subjected to experimentation, and killed.
The wizarding world was on the brink of destruction. Harry's regret was overwhelming. If only he could turn back time. Perhaps he could have prevented the Muggles obsession with magical power. Perhaps he could have protected his loved ones.

Yes, Draco looked very well, he looked rested and healthy and relaxed. And Harry came in and ruined everything.
"What do you want, Potter?" He sounded tired, as if Harry's presence sucked the life out of him, but nowhere near as hateful as Harry expected.
"Can I buy you a drink?" Harry blurted, and Draco raised a pale eyebrow.
"Mon dieu. Saint Potter come to France just to buy me a drink?" He mocked, and Harry shuffled on his feet.
He'd bloody defeated Voldemort, for Merlin's sake. But apparently that didn't matter, not when faced with Draco.
OR
After his mother committed suicide, Draco had had enough. He packed his bags, changed his last name, and made his way out into the muggle world to Paris, France.
Now, Draco Noir is a well known muggle model, with the wizarding world none the wiser.
That is, until Harry happens to see an advertisement for men's cologne, with a long haired Draco modelling for it. -

Can't make it down a single hall without seeing him, flailing about with too many things in his bag. Why does he carry it when he has an office? A classroom? One of life's mysteries. Draco has to clench his teeth not to call him a bumbling idiot. A prerequisite to being a Potions master, he thinks. Poor attitude, sour disposition. Or perhaps just a long history fraught with trauma.

Harry never travels without his bag. Learned it from Hermione, from the war, from the Dursley's. McGonagall pulled him aside and explained that his office was private, off limits, safe. But nothing is safe, not here. Not anywhere. Not Grimmauld, not the Burrow, not a tent in the Forest of Dean. The castle is an old friend, and an old enemy. A prison, but paradise.
