A most terrible, binding contract, its parameters at last fulfilled by the unwilling duo standing now over the altar, hands joined and eyes unerringly locked. So, it can be said that this is all Sirius' fault, really, but Harry isn't in the habit of blaming the dead.

Summary
Sirius Black survives his brush with death at the Ministry of magic and is declared innocent after Pettigrew is captured. Reflecting on his near death he reflects on all his failures up to that point including the promise he had given to James and Lily before they had died. Resolving himself he swears to uphold his promise to them and opts to become the Godfather Harry deserves.
AI is used as a beta writer not to write the story (You'd know this if you ever read a fully AI story), if you don't like it, don't read, your comments will be deleted. Some chapters will be re-written slightly to address potholes and fix issues.

He watches her visibly gulp, looking away from him. Watches the way she grits her teeth, steeling herself. Then, with a concerted effort, she scoffs, though the sound doesn’t quite reach her face. “Don’t be ridiculous, Potter. I’m doing exactly what I told you I would.”
Slowly, gingerly, asking permission with her eyes and the barest brush of the tips of her fingers, she reaches for his hand. He can’t really help the way his whole body stiffens in response, just a little, just for a moment. But, jaw tight, he nods, and she slips her fingers into his palm and holds his hand, squeezing lightly.
“I’m protecting what’s mine.”

Including goblins who hate him, back taxes, unpaid bills and the love of a good woman. Once he smooths over those arguments with Ginny. (Spoilers: Harry has annoyed the goblins of Gringotts, has PTSD, but he's not alone. In having PTSD, anyway.) Less money, more problems, and a hint of Harry having problems with relationships. Special guest star (uncredited). This story is not a replacement for 'Fireworks' it just has similar starting conditions. Written post 2020, so a bit darker.

Contains HAPHNE, and that should NOT be a surprise. Harry's survived the death of Tom Riddle, left Hogwarts, got out from under Albus Dumbledore's thumb and completed his final year at Beauxbatons. And the latest French girlfriend is very nice. (Shame about the one Greengrass scared off.) Time to be an adult.
And there's almost no evidence Harry's been a very bad boy.

Well, I am An Orc, and what I really didn't need was another writing project, so here we are.TDLR: A post-war family man Harry Potter that mostly does DIY ends up sucked through a too-small wormhole into an alternate universe, in his past. Oh; and Harry Potter's been dead the whole time, it was Neville all along. Till he died.
That's the short version, but Harry's from my series "Not with a half-blood!' So saying he's a family man that mostly does DIY is as they say, a 'charming understatement.'

The Horcrux in his forehead gave Harry an opportunity that the darkest wizards only dream of. Without a harm to himself, he can sacrifice part of a soul in a deal with a Demon, who gets tetchy about brokerage trades, and in return he gets Sirius. Oh, and coincidentally had outsourced destroying all the Horcruxes. Harry felt that getting TWO good outcomes was really clever of him.
Only, using demons is super illegal, and he was observed.
So the war's just ending in time to be blackmailed.
