Lumpy was trapped. He had fallen into it like a fly into a spider's web, and now he was left to only wait for his death, without a chance of salvation.
Lumpy was sitting in front of a stage in a silent, oppressive expectation of the start of the number. His cheeks were burning almost as fiercely as when he saw Flippy's performance costume on him at the first time. It's was stunningly beautiful, but terribly, just catastrophically open.
