Summary
A slow burn novelization of Inquisition with a heavy focus on the romance between Cullen Rutherford and Kaitlyn Trevelyan.
Was she pretty?
He rolled his eyes at the thought. Either way, it didn’t matter. She was a mage: an apostate, at that. Once the Breach was sealed and an Inquisitor chosen, he was certain she’d take her leave, perhaps going to join the other apostates at Redcliffe. Cullen closed his eyes, his mind slowly letting go of all the reports he’d read, of all the people they’d lost, of the pounding pain behind his eyes.
There were more important things to worry about than Kaitlyn Trevelyan.

After the events of Dragon Age Inquisition, Solona Amell comes to Skyhold to see what happened to her husband.
Why? Cause I am a horrible person and while working on my Alistair/Amell fic I wondered what would happen to them as the world moved on.

Summary
I've always wondered how Cullen got to the part where he was willing to ask Cassandra to be replaced. The sequence isn't canon but this was my thoughts on it.
Cullen suffers lyrium withdrawals worse than any he has suffered, they are constant and unending. He suffers nightmares and waking dreams on top of intense pain. constantly alone to wonder if his inquisitor will leave him or worse. His mind dreams up horrible and sad things during his time counting the days she is away.
