Urgh. He'd forgotten about the new assistant.
She was small. Not unusually small, but small enough that he noticed. Brunette, which was unremarkable, but beneath the glossy, perfect ponytail lay the biggest eyes he'd ever seen. Eyes that were firmly and absolutely fixed on him, now.
Waiting for him to respond.
Cooper Howard was known for his good manner, always had been, something he took absolute pride in - and regardless of the way his stomach had sunk at the sight of her, he'd responded exactly as was expected.
With a smile and a trademark thumbs up. God, it felt fake, but it was what people expected.
"Good to have you aboard, Lucy."

"The shower works, too," Lucy says. "I haven't checked, but if the sink works, the shower will. Vault water chips are an all or nothing situation."
"Huh."
"It's funny, seeing you standing there." Lucy sits on the bed they're supposed to share. "This is exactly like the apartment my husband and I were going to share in Vault 33." When the Ghoul looks at her, she stops cold. "Not that you're my husband. Obviously. Or that this is anything like that. Or that either of us chose to be here. Actually, you know what? I think I'm just going to test out that shower anyway."
The Ghoul chuckles.
A radstorm chases the Ghoul and Lucy MacLean into a seemingly abandoned vault, but. Well. It's Vault-Tec, after all.

Summary
Velvette noticed the closet door in the corner. It was slightly ajar; just a tiny bit, enough for some light to seep through the opening. She pulled it open.
What the fuck?
The closet did not contain suits or other clothes. Instead, there was an old-fashioned record player, and several records stacked in a box. Judging by the covers, the music was from the 1930s and older. There were various odd trinkets; a broken monocle, a piece of someone’s sleeve, a tuft of hair. It was all red.
The wall was covered in photos of someone, but they were all somehow distorted and staticky, and it was difficult to make out exactly who it was. Except for the one in the middle of the wall. The framed photo was of Vox, but not Vox as Velvette knew him; he was an older model, his head big and clunky. Beside him, there was another demon, smiling brightly.

Or: Lucifer learns physical touch really gets under Alastor's skin. To appease Charlie, he starts showering Alastor with hugs and the like whenever he pisses him off. That way, Charlie is none the wiser to what he's doing, and Alastor gets a taste of his own medicine.
