Torn apart by two supernatural freaks who might just eat his corpse afterwards. Like a rabbit cornered by two hungry wolves."

Summary
Avid rushes out into the centre of town, stake in hand, Drift on his tail, and Apo not far behind. The townsfolk – vampires and humans alike – hover at the edges, some taking refuge from the furious, bloody figure on the steps of the tavern, others sticking close to the beacon’s tower, using the strength to their benefit. As he comes to a skidding stop, the figure looks up, and Owen bares his fangs, eyes flashing crimson.
“Who is this?” He snarls, throwing an arm out to the mutilated corpse beneath him. “And what were they doing in my forest?”
Swallowing fearfully, Avid slowly but surely drops his gaze. There, crumpled beneath the vampire lays a body. It’s split, twisted wrongly with bones poking out at angles Avid’s certain they should never be bent to. At his side, Apo curses weakly, muttering out a headcount whilst Drift sucks in a horrified breath. There’s too much blood to tell who it could possibly be, but one thing is for certain; that person is well and truly dead.

Or: Avid opens a... "bakery", Cleo becomes the somewhat official mayor of Oakhurst, and the town puts aside their differences with the vampires as a war brews steadily on the horizon.

Summary
In the quiet stillness of the middle of the woods, Legundo just stayed silent as he let Owen let out apologies for a man who’d been gone for centuries. It’s the way that Owen trembles in his arms, the way he hides away his sobs in his chest, that made the realization of just how much his sire had meant to him.
“I follow no sire,” Owen had said, the venom in his voice before wasn’t out of anger from the conversation, it was more akin to something like mourning, Legundo realized far too late.

Summary
[Legundo was a tactical man. It came from being a soldier and a doctor, he was precise and calculating, his hands never wavered over the task he assigned himself, he cut straight and true.
Death was a disease, one that had consumed humanity and spoilt their ranks. After he’d found the cure - once he’d ascended into something greater - he’d set his sights on fixing them. His fangs were his solution, his claws were his scalpels, his eyes were sharper than even his youth had allowed, his senses could pick up on sluggishly beating hearts and illness wracked lungs.
“Let me help you.” He said.
He was always met with a ‘yes’ or a ‘thank you’ in reply.
“Let me help you.” He offered his hand to Owen.
The human looked up at him past long filthy hair. “No.” He growled.
“No?” Legundo tilted his head. He hadn’t heard that in a long time.
Owen hit his hand away, the motion set off pain through his arm and he winced but he kept his glare steady as he met the vampire’s eye. “No.” He repeated. “I don’t want your help.”]---

Summary
