Patrick has been a perfectly fine scapegoat for as long as he didn’t have to look him in the eyes—for Tashi, and thus, for Art, because he’d done enough fucked up things to keep the lie believable, to frontload blame, channel every bit of jealousy and self-righteousness and frustration he’s ever felt towards him and bury his memory into something warped, but they’re too close now to avoid the inevitable blow up. The buried truth.
The truth is, they’re each other’s inverse in that Patrick will betray others to prove to himself that he’s a scumbag, and Art will betray himself to feel less guilty about what he wants.
The truth is, Art knows repression first and second hand, literally, and he’s done good forgetting.

Between his latest hobby and endless late night calls with George, he can't stop the flooding effect George begins to have on his life. Dream is lost in the wave George carries over into every inch of his being, from the radiance of a sunrise to the soft glow of a campfire. Wandering down an uncharted path, he seeks to find the answer that lies within his heart.
A content silence fills the space between them and Dream can picture it clearly: the outline of George’s slender body as he admires the soft palette sunrise with wide eyes, his radiance even challenging that of the morning light. Maybe George is the sunrise, maybe he is the light that marks a new day, a new start.
As the light begins to spread across Dream’s body, the moment is still and there is nothing else except the connection of Dream and George, distances apart, basking in the glow of the morning sun.
