Summary
Thanks to a unique medical condition, Cloud can no longer tolerate normal food, and his need for human flesh and blood leaves him weak. His idol Sephiroth, on the other hand, carries a gene that makes him the ideal match for Cloud’s tastes. After his comrades succumb to degradation, Sephiroth wonders if this unassuming young man might present the perfect solution to all his problems: a toy, a punishment, and a potential equal all in one pretty package.

Those are some of the first words Ajax, starving college student extraordinaire, has the misfortune of hearing upon waking up in a brave new world from what he's fairly sure is a very fatal accident involving water and a shit ton of electricity.
Okay, so he's not dead. That's good. But what's this about him being stuck playing the character Tartaglia? Tartaglia, as in the no-good, one-dimensional, cartoonish villain who met his untimely, gruesome death in the first act of the original game?

Summary
When four souls entered the Lifestream Aerith saw the three fragments and the soul of her dear friend and knew something had to be done. The remnants of Sephiroth were incomplete souls however each had the makings to be something more if that just had more time. Time she could give them, to be something more than that of fragments. However, if she sent them alone, they would break, or break the world really. Luckily her good friend Cloud was right there and he always had problems saying no when someone needed help. Maybe together he could change and help more than just the three if given the chance. If he could get past the Turks, Shinra, and Soldiers wanting to know why there were three children running around that looked like mini versions of the General Sephiroth and their keeper a blond man who just might be stronger.
