"What?" Lumine asks impatiently. And then it hits her. The grave error and stupidity she had just committed. "...Fuck."
"Did he drink it—"
"I don't know, I don't think so?"
"Well, you offered it to him without a second thought, you smooth brain! He probably has emptied the bottle now—"
"Oh, fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. God, I'm such an idiot! Aether, what are we going to do?!" Lumine asks with a strained voice.
"We gotta go and find him, duh, before he finds you first!"
Lumine pales. She looks like she's going to throw up. "Ravenclaw common room. Let's go!"

Summary
Something horrible in Dazai's past comes back to haunt him in the form of a brown envelope full of pictures.
He expects to be abandoned and shunned, but for all his precision in foreseeing outcomes, he finds that he is not the best at predicting the emotional reactions of those that care about him.

Slowly, Dazai bends down and picks one of them up in a shaking hand.
Kunikida has never seen him like this.
"I don't understand..." Atsushi is saying, but he stays with Ranpo, Kyouka and Kenji where he is, "What are those pictures? What's going on?"
Dazai is terrifyingly held together and calm and collected, his eyes half-lidded and hollow, when he gathers them up from the floor and straightens, when he moves towards the desk and sets them by tapping them against the top, and then carefully puts them back in the envelope.
The silence that follows after is deafening and unbearably long as Dazai stands there with his back to the room, his head bowed, his eyes hidden by his hair.
"I'm going to kill him," he whispers, so quietly it took Kunikida several seconds to make it out.
In one swift motion, he turns with the envelope in hand and storms out of the office.

“No no I am not doing any pranks, Dazai. I swear. Well.. I want you to take this news calmly. We adopted a puppy from the playground and it will be living with us from now on.”
It was very obvious how Dazai’s expression dropped and his skin turned paler. Hazel orbs instantly looked at their son, Fumiya and the little ball of furry behind him which caused a part of the brunette all triggered and worked up. As if reminiscing the past which made him yell at his husband and his kid for the first time ever.
“GET IT OUT! CHUUYA ARE YOU INSANE! WHY WOULD YOU LET THAT THING COMES INSIDE OUR HOUSE! GET IT OUT NOW-!”

Chuuya adopted a puppy per his son's request. Someone in the household didn't take the news so greatly and misunderstandings occur.

Or: Mori wants to get to Dazai through Atsushi. He’ll get to Atsushi over Dazai’s dead body. The rest of the ADA and Chuuya won’t let it get that far.

Silence. Not even a witty remark. That's when he actually starts paying attention to the person in front of him and realizes a few things at once.

A series of vignettes in chronological order filling in the gaps in the story between Storm Bringer and Dark Era from the POV of Soukoku. This story follows Dazai and Chuuya as they navigate their relationship and their work with the Port Mafia post-SB, through Dazai meeting Odasaku ("The Day I Picked Up Dazai"), Odasaku's death and Dazai's betrayal of the Port Mafia...and Chuuya's reactions to it all. I was mainly inspired by the official art showing Dazai and Oda with Chuuya on the outside of the pair looking sad, and Asagiri-sensei's words in the afterword of "Storm Bringer" about leaving Chuuya's fate and reactions to the imagination of the reader. Well, this is my imagination running wild and it is my gift to you. Enjoy the pain!
