Summary
He tried to take a few steps forward, and found himself floundering like he was in water. He turned his head back and forth, but even the parts of his surroundings that looked familiar to him were somehow changed, empty. No Venatori, no cloaked figure, no Lavellan or the others. He was alone.
Or, even worse, maybe not.
The Inquisition trek to the western border of Orlais to investigate the inexplicable corruption of the Grey Wardens (and maybe patch up some tears in the Veil along the way.) Desert and misery abound and the old ruins of the Order are everywhere. The young Trevelyan is restless and troubled, but jumps at the chance to accompany Inquisitor Lavellan in an exploration of Griffon Wing Keep, an old Grey Warden fortress.
It's too bad about what they find there waiting for them.

Summary
"Well, she's worrying for nothing. They’re all idiots, all of them," he said, voice low. "They think the Game is so hard. They don't know what real fear is like."
"Real fear?" Her smile became deeper, a laugh in the making which she smothered with her hand. "All fear is real, child." She inclined her head to the dance floor, where bodies swept up alongside each other. "They live and breathe it, they crawl here along its edge. You can’t feel it yet. But your friend does."
Visiting Orlais never goes very well. But with Corypheus' sights on Empress Celene, the Inquisition must attend perhaps the most dangerous of all of its functions if they want to retain stability during the war for Thedas: a party.
Inquisitor Lavellan and Andraste's Chosen are only two of a horde of freaks as far as the Orlesian nobles are concerned, and even these vipers are nothing compared to the sinister forces at work in the Winter Palace tonight. Nothing goes as planned, and yet they'll be lucky if this becomes a night to remember.

Summary
"Many of the Pentaghasts in my family history have become these Reavers, harnessing the power of dragon’s blood against their quarry. But each one went terribly insane in the end. That is why it is now forbidden in Nevarra."
"Te… you said terribly insane?"
Two people have a drink.
Their enemies hit hard, and she needs to hit harder. To become the kind of person the Inquisition needs, Inquisitor Lavellan has to change. It's not that she's averse to change. It's just a matter of what exactly she's going to change into that troubles her. Meanwhile, as he grapples with his developing feelings, Dorian Pavus tries to wrap his head around all the things surrounding him that have changed already.

Summary
A story about an apprentice and a demon, and an unwanted memory that enters Skyhold while Lavellan is away.
They've barely spoken or interacted since he joined, and that's been the most practical way to go about things so far. Cole can't understand the young Trevelyan fully. He can't see more than outlines past the light of the Anchor. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want to help.

Summary
Traveling the Exalted Plains for the first time, the Inquisition faces treacherous undead, annoying Orlesian soldiers, uncomfortable reunions, and tragic demons. One would think this wasn't the best environment to start navigating romantic feelings for each other, but one would be wrong, apparently.
He'd said no. Their Inquisitor Lavellan was in many ways like all of her kind; she was ignorant, was cut off from the Fade, was opposed to his plans in every way even if she didn't yet know it.
But she was also a friend. And Solas was running low on friends.

Summary
With Inquisitor Lavellan newly appointed as head of the Inquisition, and a new fortress to call home in Skyhold, things are looking up as far as saving the world is concerned. But as the days pass, one worry has been plaguing Varric Tethras more and more. He would ask the Inquisition to help... except, that would require telling the truth. And he has a very strong suspicion that some people, namely the stab-happy Seeker, would not take it very well.
Someone should also really check on that Trevelyan kid. He's getting a little too invested in this "pretending to be holy" business.

That… and trying to keep alive the foolhardy mage child that they need to seal the rift under Lake Crestwood. For Trevelyan, the Breach may turn out to have not even been the worst of the danger, between bandits, corpses, demons, and his own poor decision-making.
Oh. And the spiders.

Summary
The snow felt like fire against her skin, and then even that sensation faded away. …May the Dread Wolf never catch my scent, was the last lucid thought she had before her mind succumbed to the exhaustion.
With a good handful of victories under their belt, the two-survivor Inquisition seemed to be doing alright; with the Breach closed, whatever machinations the mysterious Elder One had going in the heart of Ferelden seem to have been put on pause, giving them room to breathe and address other concerns.
Their mistake was thinking this meant they were safe. Now the noose tightens around Haven, its prophet, and Lavellan as well.

Summary
Following the exile of the Wardens at Adamant, Morrigan makes a suggestion that Inquisitor Trevelyan contact the Hero of Ferelden to see if he has any insight on Corypheus. When this inquiry leads nowhere interesting in the War Room, the Inquisitor forgets all about it. But others in her inner circle are a little more concerned about the... strange requests that the Hero of Ferelden made in his letter.
It would be alright if they investigated it for themselves, right? Surely they don't NEED the Inquisitor along with them on every mission for it to be a success.

Summary
When the Inquisition takes onboard Madame Vivienne of Montsimmard, the leader of the Loyalist mages, the former mage apprentice Lucas Trevelyan objects the hardest. In his mind.
Since that's not enough, he may have to settle for sulking around and making as many snide insinuations as he can get away with.
But perhaps, as time passes, the Maker's Chosen and the Iron Lady can find some grounds to be civil, for the sake of the Inquisition if nothing else.

Summary
"She said something like how there are more dangerous things in this world than templars," he said, wiping rivulets of blood from his face. "I... hope Serah Lavellan is agreeing with her right now."
Considering that their supposed prophet is himself a mage apprentice, it was only natural for the Inquisition to approach the rebel mages at Redcliffe for support with the Breach. With the welcome mat rolled out for them, it was the safest, easiest course of action--until the Tevinter mage cultists showed up. Now for the Inquisition, the Templar Order is starting to look like the safer option by comparison. At least, for the members of the Inquisition whose opinions actually matter.
But said mage prophet, Trevelyan, disagrees. And at his age, he has a dangerous habit of assuming things will always go his way.

Summary
Slowing to a stroll just beyond the gate, Lavellan tilted her head at the child and gave a weary smile. "...If you were put on a pyre, I'd come get you down. Before your flesh burned off, ideally."
"Ahh, that didn't work out very well for Shartan," Varric muttered behind her.
The Chantry has historically been very unpleasant when it comes to dealing with perceived rivals, Andrastian or otherwise. Yet here they are, come to meet its Mothers in person and try to very kindly explain that they are not claiming this mage child tagging along with the Inquisition is Andraste's son, so please do not try to murder them. And to ask them to please help them close the very big Breach in the sky that might kill them all.
As they wander the seat of the recently-murdered Divine, collecting allies and enemies, Lavellan wishes fervently that some misunderstandings could actually be cleared up by communicating--but she knows they won't.

Summary
A short story about the two-survivor Inquisition's first trip into the Fallow Mire, in which the young Trevelyan finds himself at odds with his inner circle. Closing rifts is an ordeal even at the best of times, much less in the rain with corpses slumbering just under one's feet and Avvar warriors camped somewhere in the marsh. He would have thought they'd be glad to put it off, too...
Set not long after completion of the main quest The Threat Remains.
