It’s not that he’s here, with Bruce. Dick’s love for him is anything but conditioned- it was pleadingly discouraged, constantly rebuffed, forced to be proven over and over again. Dick’s love for Bruce is in his bones.
The fact that they’re grinding their crotches together is more debatable.

It’s- honestly, it’s up for debate whether she ever really was, whether her period of spying for Deathstroke and subsequently bringing a building down on top of all of them counted- but for the better part of a year, she was… something. A teammate, if nothing else.
Dick wouldn’t say they were ever… close, necessarily. He definitely wouldn't say they liked each other, or that he ever found her pleasant, and it would be an outright lie to say they were friends. Because honestly, the vast majority of his interactions with her were some form of competition with no real purpose. But, they had… something. Something that he doesn’t think it’s fair to toss aside.
Dick never liked her. But they were in similar boats, and sometimes, when he looks back, he thinks that if a few things had been different, they could have been friends.

Dick Grayson takes a deep breath, as he and his parents stand on the small platform. He shifts from foot to foot, running through the routine in his head one last time. John Grayson turns back and smiles at him momentarily.
In a matter of moments, the quiet snap of wires will alert Dick something is wrong a split second before anyone else notices, followed by twin impacts. One sickening crunch will ring through the crowd before the screaming starts, when they realize it isn’t part of the show.
Dick’s life will never be the same after this, not remotely.
