Summary
In the small town of Vytal, Ruby and Weiss grew up being the best of friends despite their families hating each other. They relied on each other and made each other’s lives just a tad bit happier. But when things took a turn for the worst, Ruby and Weiss were separated as Ruby is forced to move away.
Fast forward eight years later and Weiss is a mess. High school is stressing her out, she struggles to keep her sexuality a secret while also trying to explore it, and dealing with the fact that she’s a late bloomer doesn’t help things either. But when her childhood friend and crush Ruby Rose returns to the small town of Vytal and re-enters Weiss’ life, they find out that resuming their secret friendship will not be so easy as they had hoped.

When Weiss Schnee's parents get a sudden but unsurprising divorce after her mother reveals that she's been having an affair with a childhood friend, she wasn't prepared to be uprooted from her somewhat higher than average upbringing and be forced to move to her mother's childhood town of Patch, let alone find herself with not a new father, but instead a new mother who is all too happy to have Weiss as a stepdaughter, and a stepsister who makes it very clear that she doesn't like the arrangement just as much as Weiss does.
Out of her element and thrown into the fray, Weiss finds out what it really means to be family, makes new friends, and even learns a couple of things about herself she hadn't realized before.

Ruby Rose had a bright future ahead of her at such a young age. She got good grades and was even good at sports with a great scholarship within reach as she raced towards a great future, only for it all to come to a screeching halt. Her confidence and spirit broken, she turned to the last thing she was truly good at. Video Games.
Now, when Virtual Reality becomes...well, a reality, will these two girls find what the cold and unfair world has taken from them in the digital world? Or will they find something else that they didn't know they needed?

Summary
Weiss schnee is just an average high schooler trying to fit in with the other kids at her school despite her parents being the owners of the schnee corporation. One of the largest corporations in the world.
She's glad her friends don't mind her past as the schools unbearable ice queen or about her family's terrible reputation of mistreating it's workers and treat her like she's apart of their own loving family. She's especially glad her longtime childhood friend and crush Ruby Rose is always there for her whenever she needs it. A normal happy go lucky girl who won't let anything in life get her down no matter what. Someone who has always been there whenever she has felt sad or hopeless. whenever there was a bad day her bright smile would be so warm and caring it would brighten her day.So why does Weiss get a call from Blake telling her that Ruby is in the hospital after trying to take her own life. What happened to the girl Weiss loves and what can she do to help her? If she wants to be helped that is.
Despite everything between them weiss is determined to help Ruby no matter what.
