Summary
After Stiles was taken in for his tests and the nogitsune took over the generator exploded and the wire flew wild. Kira, however, absorbed the electricity and the wire was no longer live. The nogitsune was none too pleased about this fact and realized it wasn't strong enough just yet to take on the kitsune. It retreats back and lets Stiles out, though the teen has no recollection of getting dressed or leaving the hospital.
Scott decides then to pretend nothing happened and encourages everyone else to do the same. He tells Derek not to acknowledge it either, at least until they can figure out how to rid Stiles of the spirit. Derek, despite the progress he and Scott made, was none too pleased with this plan. The nogitsune lies in waiting and terrible things are about to unfold.

Summary
The man before him was coated with mud and blood, shivering violently in the cool night air. His dark hair was tangled and matted, and though it hung in his face, it couldn’t cover the gleam of fear in his eyes. Dark lake water lapped against the shore, perfectly still and glassy towards its center. The water was so dark that its smooth surface didn’t reflect the stars shining brilliantly above their heads.
Jack put out a calming hand, like he was trying to approach a rabid dog. “Hey, it’s okay, man. Can you tell me your name?” He asked, his voice quiet.
The man looked at him, eyes wide and unblinking. He opened his mouth and closed it a few times, before a distressed noise crawled up his throat. “I don’t… I can’t remember,” he whispered, the whites of his eyes bright with fear. And that’s when the stillness of the lake behind them shattered and something screamed.

Fic spanning the length of Mass Effect 2. Slow build romance between Shepard and Garrus that grows out of their friendship and mutual trust and respect. I've never been satisfied with Shepard's reasons for staying with Cerberus in ME2; her decision making has always seemed a little too much like a plot convenience to me. So here, I'm giving the Illusive Man a real leash to put her on.
