Summary
Jesse Faden and Emily Pope are left holding the reins of the FBC after the events of Foundation, trying their best to keep the Hiss (and paperwork) under control. As Emily and Jesse chase down answers through late-night archive dives and increasingly unreliable memories, they fight to keep each other grounded in the face of a reality-altering anomaly threatening to breach containment.

Alan Wake wrote and wrote. He wrote until the skin from his fingers would peel off and his back would crack. Then he got something. A story. He remembered from his early days as a writer. Night Springs. That show he did scripts for. He plucked out small details. He poured every bit of memory he had of the show. Enthralled in the flurry of emotions and pained limbs, he put together something you'd call a total clusterfuck. It was all over the place, but he couldn't stop. His hands moved on his own. He just went on and wrote as much as he could. Until he'd forgotten. Until he was enveloped tightly inside this falsehood he brought upon himself.
Alan Wake wasn't the Alan Wake he knew. He was now a resident of.. Bright Springs? Night Fall? Something like that. He was a famous author still, but everything had been shuffled around. Now, Scratch, his evil doppelganger, was his brother. Thomas Zane, the poet or the filmmaker, was his cousin. Other people from Bright Falls were now assets in his story. There were new people he had never met before, but somehow wrote in.
And he didn't remember he was part of a story.

The Oldest House (formerly known as Director Theodore Ash Sr) has a new power: he has the ability to manifest as a statue, to move and communicate and, most importantly, to explore. As a statue, he now can access the Oceanview Motel and meet Ahti on more neutral grounds.

Alan Wake would be the perfect smut writer, and there is too little Barry. While the writer cannot quite bring himself to write Barry to be bigger than him, the man will get his wish. While at it, he gives them a throat-cunt and a breathing anus. After all, Barry wants to flood Alan's ass like it was the Valhalla Nursing Home cellar.
The writer also has the rather suspect idea that he can rewrite himself to be a good, faithful husband, so what happens by the powers of the dark place does not count. Barry is a sweet pumpkin, as always. Alan is not characterised too wrong in my opinion, but his less pleasant tendencies are somewhat over-emphasised. He is in a state of a drunken hybris.
Agent Nightingale bursts in, a gun haphazardly pulled. Alan and Barry try to help him by flushing out the darkness with the Semen of Light. Alas, this is a non-spiralled copulation.
Some lore related anachronisms from Alan Wake 2, but hey, time and events loop in mysterious ways in the Remedy Connected Universe. This series is dedicated to Timo Mukka, the Finnish author.
