Bruce curses, running a hand back through his hair. This isn’t… No. He isn’t supposed to have a soulmate. He is the Dark Knight, for crying out loud.
“Don’t tell him,” Bruce orders.
Alfred blinks. “Why not? You’ve found one of your soulmates. This is cause for celebration-”
“The Wayne family is a family of choice. He shouldn’t feel like he has to stay just because we’re…" Bruce stumbles. "And besides. He’s going to expect me to be some…some overly-doting-parent type and I can’t do that. There’s so much…so much about being someone’s soulmate. You’re supposed to be this…this…perfect person. You’re supposed to complete someone else. How the hell am I supposed to do that?”

A young boy - seven, maybe eight - peeks around the back of a nearby armchair. His eyes glow blue (just like Dick’s, just like Jason’s) and his black, unruly hair drifts weightlessly around his ears.

When Connor goes missing on an undercover operation, Hank takes it upon himself to go find him.
But he can't do it alone. He recruits Nines, the new guy at the DPD. Sure, he's a little...odd, but he knows more about Connor's operation than anyone else. If he wants to find Connor, he'll have to learn how to work with Connor's replacement.
It's easier said than done, when Nines isn't even a deviant.

Basically, I noticed how Nines only bonds with Hank when Connor and/or Sixty are in the picture. I wanted to see Hank adopt Nines for who he is, not because Connor pushed it. So expect a lot of Nines and Hank fluff. :D
And of course, we'll throw in a good old fashioned kidnapping plot with some horror elements because I couldn't stop myself

To his relief, Bruce nods. “One of the other detectives called Alfred. He’ll take good care of me. My Dad says so."
“Does he?” Jim isn’t sure of whether it’s a good idea to talk about the deceased when they’re still lying across the street, but he goes with it. “Were they brothers?”
Bruce doesn’t say anything for a second, but then he answers, “No. But kind of. Mom says Alfred’s family.” Bruce looks up at Jim. “You can't hear them, can you?”
And that’s when Jim realizes: the kid’s insane.

“Right on schedule,” Josh agreed. And it was true - Simon had seen Richard Stern’s bright red car pull up in the corner of his eye just a second ago. That whole family worked like clockwork, it seemed.
Markus’s arm tensed. “Just leave him alone and he won’t bother us…what the hell?”
Simon looked up and followed Markus’s gaze to the front doors of the school, where Connor Stern himself was standing. He looked terrible; his normally wrinkle-free uniform was rumpled, his hall monitor sash that he usually wore so proudly was missing, and it was obvious that he had tried to fix his hair, but it still hung more in his face than it had that morning.
And, of course, there was the black eye and split lip.

Jericho, home of the tieflings, declares war on the human kingdom of Ravaryn once they find out that the humans kidnapped one of their own. They plan on rescuing him, no matter who gets in the way.
Little do they know that Connor, Hank's paladin-in-training, is the one they seek, and he distinctly remembers being kidnapped by tieflings, not humans.

“He’s a liar!” Connor yelled. He fussed with his breastplate before ripping it off, throwing it against the wall. “He’s a liar!”
“Connor, calm the fuck down,” Hank ordered. He grabbed Connor by the shoulders and looked him in the eye. “Get a hold of yourself. You can't do this. If you let your emotions get out of control, you’re gonna out yourself on accident with your magic, okay?”
Connor was breathing hard, the rage coursing through his veins. His skin was flushed blue, and his hands trembled with suppressed frustration. In a moment, Connor's anger wilted. He let out a distressed sound and put a hand up to his eyes, hiding them as tears started to line his eyelids.
“It’s okay,” Hank said, wrapping his arms around the tiefling.
“I don’t want to go back,” Connor hiccuped.

The master wizard confessed, “I fought with a Trollhunter before, at the Battle of Killahead Bridge. Deya, was her name. I’ve heard the fool with six eyes refer to her as ‘Deya the Deliverer.’ I suppose she was a deliverer, for some. But she was not enough for me.”
Merlin trailed off, and his gaze fogged over again, as if his mind was somewhere else. “…I was not enough, that day.”

The revolution is over, Jericho has fallen, there are only thirteen deviants left in all of Detroit, the injured deviant leader is no longer deviant, and the deviant hunter is being hunted himself.
Connor knows he is to blame for the fall of Jericho, but damn him if he’s not going to fix everything, no matter the cost.

His phone rang, echoing around the small bathroom and causing him to flinch. He answered the phone and put it on speaker without looking at the Caller ID. He grabbed an extra roll of toilet paper, thinking that, if he had a prayer of making it home, he had to at least staunch the blood flow. “Hello?”
“Hey, kid, are you still here?”
This was worse.Or, after landing the plane on Coney Island in "Spider-Man: Homecoming", Peter isn't as unscathed as he likes to think he is.

Peter and Tony escape the Snap, but May, Pepper, and many other friends do not. After five months of creating a new life in a cabin on the river as unofficial father and son, they decide to help the other surviving Avengers with the whole time-traveling scheme. They have their missions. All Peter and Tony have to do is go back to space and track down the soul stone on Vormir.
Basically I switched Clint and Natasha for Tony and Peter because I don't know how to handle my emotions.
