Because tomorrow, Charles will have to go back to pretending. Charles will have to walk back into the paddock and act like he’s an alpha, like he deserves to be there, deserves to be a Formula 1 driver in a world where omegas are seen as little more than an inconvenience.
But Charles will prove them wrong. He knew he would right from the start, the first day that he got back into a kart after he’d presented, knowing exactly what he would be up against, that the odds would always and forever be stacked against him just because of his biology. He will win. He will become the first omega World Drivers Champion. He will accept his trophy at the gala and he will take the microphone and he will tell the world that he did that, an omega, an equal. He beat a field full of alphas, but more importantly, he beat a society that has tried to tell him from day one that he would never be good enough.

Summary
There are a lot of people who have called Charles a masochist for sticking with Ferrari through thick and thin, when very few drivers would be willing to put up with the heartache. There are a lot of people who struggle to understand his resilience when there are so many teams that would fight tooth and nail to have him.
But the love and dedication he has for his team, nurtured since he was a child, fuel him and burn strong enough to make him stay and dream.
Maybe that’s the reason he can’t let Max Verstappen go either.
Or: Charles navigates through a difficult F1 season. In the middle of it all, he finds Max. Because Max is always there.

In all honesty, Thomas really wasn’t one to think things through. Maybe if he was, he would have thought twice before letting a stranger sleep on his couch. When Stiles reads the posts, he’s more confused. They’re older posts, back from his undergrad freshman year, but it was during a supernatural attack that a bunch of people got caught in. Stiles practically ran himself into the ground offering support, advice, and gathering information for Scott and Derek so they could do damage control.
“This tells me nothing,” Stiles says. “Except that you can use Google and know how to take screenshots.”
“I consider it your resume,” Fury tells him.
Stiles freezes, because what.
Fury doesn’t say anything else, doesn’t explain, even after Stiles gestures for more. “What the hell do you mean it’s my resume? If you haven’t realized it, I’m still in college.”
He doesn’t look impressed. “You’ve been in college. You have two degrees, four separate certifications, and you’re on the fast-track for a PhD.”
“I like learning,” Stiles deadpans.
“You like helping, and it just so happens that I have someone you can help.”

Summary
It is impossible to miss who it is on the picture on Z’s phone, despite the fact that Jamie is looking rough and almost nothing like himself in it. He’s laying on a couch, captured only from the waist up from a truly unflattering angle, something that even Troy can tell even though he can admit he doesn’t have many flattering angles himself.
In the picture, Jamie is wearing a sweatshirt that has definitely seen better days. Its color and logo are so faded that it almost looks like it’s supposed to be an American design of so kind, which doesn’t make much sense considering this is Canadian sweetheart Jamie Drysdale Troy is looking at. What Jimmy is also wearing is a shoulder sling, which dates the photo to be a pretty recent one.
(or 5 times someone saw a picture of Jamie on Trevor's phone + 1 time it was Jamie who saw it.)
