Summary
Mike's disappearance was sudden and not nearly as complicated as the citizens of Hawkins believed ,one day he was there and the next he simply wasn't. Sometimes people wondered if he even existed in the first place, but his dirty clothes still piled the floor, jamming his closet door open and baking in the sun, releasing waves of pungent musk. Posters of bands he never got to see were still plastered against his water damaged walls, corners hanging over as they tried to peel themselves away from the grief and decay. But so little of his social remains were left behind, like an idea that never came to fruition. Only those who knew him well remembered that they knew him at all.
