Summary
The summer before his sixth year, Severus Snape finds himself without a safe place to stay until school resumes. Remembering an offer extended by Narcissa Black, the year she graduated from Hogwarts, he reluctantly makes his way to London to see if she can shelter him for a couple of months. Over the course of the summer, the two friends come to better understand each other, themselves, and the wizarding world that is being ripped apart just beyond their doorstep. And it may change everything. Timeline spans the summer before sixth year to the end of the war.

"Severus didn’t expect to be sitting on the side of a curb at midnight when the day started. His father had kicked him out when he came home with a woman in his arms, as much as Snape hated staying with that man he also knew that there was nowhere else he could go. He had no family, no friends, no money and no where to go, so he begged his father to let him stay until he at least got a car but he should’ve known that wouldn’t work because in return he got a swift punch to the gut knocking the wind out of him and his father grabbing him by the collar and throwing him out of the house, knocking his head against the pavement. So here he was sitting on the pavement after walking for hours and realising he had nowhere to go."
Severus moves to London and experiences the party scene, falling into heavy alcohol and drug abuse, fueled by his destructive environment.

“What?!” Kingsley and Pandora exclaimed at the same time. They knew Charity had many friends, but this pairing seemed peculiar even to them.
“I never agreed.” Snape said, though quietly as all eyes turned to look at him. Charity quirked an eyebrow at him before looking back at her friends.
“Well…he’ll agree soon enough!” Charity’s eyes took on a crazed look “ I give him 4 weeks before he caves.”
——-When Charity Burbage finds Snape and asks him to join her band, his immediate reaction is no. However, when she eventually wears him down (and becomes a friend) joining the band becomes one of the best choices he’s made so far.
The annoying pompous Gryffindor it attracts is the one (major) downside.

It’s the first term of sixth year and the animosity inside the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is at an all time high.
The upcoming Wizarding War is putting an extra strain on the complex rivalry between the twitchy loner Severus Snape and Hogwarts biggest heartthrob Sirius Black.
And the whole situation is about to go to shit.
It's not a secret the two wizard's want each other dead, so let's throw in questionable morals, more swearing than a ship of drunken sailors and too much sexual tension for either wizard to know what to do with.
Will one succeed in killing the other, or will the outcome for these sworn enemies be something…different?

Well. He has no fucking idea who 'Harry' is, and Black is a particular pain in his ass even post-graduation, but Severus just cannot run from a challenge, can he?
After all, winning a war couldn’t be that complicated.

"Sеptember 27th, 1969
Sandwiched between my lumpy mattress and threadbare blankets, I shiver slightly, even though it is summer. My dad finished the last of the stale bread yesterday for breakfast before his shift at the car factory, and that was all the food we had left. My mum says she's been too busy to go grocery shopping. She's been working a lot of overtime lately. My dad's boss got mad at him yesterday because he didn't meet his production goal. When he got home, he said it was my fault because I got in his way too much and distracted him when he was trying to rest after work. My back is still sore from his belt. At least this time it wasn't his fists."
Follow Severus through his childhood and into adulthood, from 1969 to 1982. This story gets darker as it progresses.

He hated Sirius Black. Hated his arrogance, his easy confidence, the way he strutted through the halls of Hogwarts as if he owned them. But something in the alpha’s expression right now—something fierce and protective—made it hard to look away. Despite himself, Severus felt a flicker of warmth in his chest, a part of him almost pleased by the way Sirius was reacting. But he quickly squashed it down.
“Why do you care, Black?” The omega sneered, wrenching his arm from Sirius’ grasp.
