Mike looks up, squinting against the brightness, and there right in front of him is William Byers. His will byers.He’s somehow just how Mike remembers him yet so different. he has soft tanned skin with his familiar moles dotted over his neck and arms and face, his lashes are long and he’s still sporting that choppy bowl cut type haircut that Joyce cuts for him, but it suits him. His build is muscular, soft. That’s different. “Need help with that?” his voice is deeper too. Mike stands up as fast as he can, holding the trash that he has to his chest now. “Will?” he’s taller as well, just a bit shorter than Mike, and he’s wearing a surferboy pizza uniform, the yellow visor and all.

will and el come back to hawkins for the summer, working at surferboy pizza, just across from where mike is working at scoops ahoy. mike feels as though he’s lost his best friend, will is trying to get over him. will they become friends again? or will they we thrust into something a lot deeper than friendship?
this is set after season three, but there’s nothing going on with the upside down and it’s just silly and cute with a bit of angst #ilovesurfsahoy

“Im in here!” a voice yelled back. Vi rubbed her hip and strode into the room.
“Im fuckin soaked to my tits and i-” suddenly she was being stared down by the most bright blue eyes she had ever seen. Caitlyn fucking kirraman was sitting on the floor of her bedroom, with her perfect fucking hair and perfect fucking posture and nose and eyes and smart clothes. Caitlin’s hair is much shinier up close.

Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
OR
Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.
