Summary
Technically speaking, all dreams are memories…of a kind. But the visions that Jannik’s been having about Carlos this week have been terrifyingly realistic.
In them, the Spaniard seems so real. The settings too, are distressingly grounded in reality. Only in these quasi-memories, Carlos behaves nothing like the young man Jannik actually knows from years of playing tennis together.
Even if Jannik thought Carlos capable of what he can remember…it still couldn’t be real. So he has no choice but to accept that these are simply some type of sick, recurring dream he’s been having.
That he keeps having…
…and they’re only getting worse.
Following his retirement in Cincinnati, Jannik finds himself subject to an escalating series of lucid dreams about Carlos Alcaraz. The Italian is certain that they’re dreams, even if they don’t feel that way. In fact, they must be dreams. No matter how viscerally the contents chase after him in waking life.
They simply cannot be anything but the bizarre fantasies of a fatigued mind.
Can they?

Summary
“Jan,” Carlos breathed, his voice cracking.
“Tell me I'm wrong,” Jannik challenged, his thumb stroking a slow, maddening arc against Carlos’s knee. “Tell me you don't choose me, too.”
Carlos opened his mouth to answer, but he didn't have the words. Because the terrifying truth was, he didn't have a choice. He never really had.

Summary
Something happened while he was out, exiled. While he watched from the sidelines as everybody kept improving and playing and giving interviews. While journalists and men of culture speculated about drugs he never used. Something in him stopped, in those interminable weeks, something in him broke and he can’t put it back together, regardless of how much he tries, how much he has tried for the last few months.

Summary
January 2026. When Darren Cahill retires at sixty after Jannik Sinner’s fourth Slam and a clean sweep of the indoor swing, the tennis world holds its breath to see who’ll take over the twenty-four-year-old omega phenom—the first in Open Era history to reach world no. 1 (and to hold onto it for back-to-back years, no less).
The answer: Carlos Alcaraz, forty-three, retired almost-legend, multi-Slam champion, clay court specialist, and eternal golden boy of a bygone Spanish tennis generation. Once Nadal’s mirror-apparent, now everyone’s favorite DILF in post-retirement punditry, adored for his explosive joy and charisma.
On paper, it’s perfect: fire meets ice, creativity meets calculation, alpha meets omega. In practice, it’s combustible.
OR: It begins professional. Then quickly grows precarious. Then too close. By the US Open summer swing, the lines are blurred beyond recognition. By the time the first heat hits, everything burns.

Summary
He kneels before he understands he’s fallen, body folding under a decree he didn’t issue. The sound of his own breath turns ragged, administrative. The crowd’s inhale swells around him, an animal chorus of sympathy and hunger. He reaches for the racket, stubborn as ever, forces his hands to obey the pretense of strength. The frame of it shakes though, it betrays him.
[...] Across the sea, Carlos’ attention catches on a television screen, the cold light carving his face in shifting fragments— white, blue, green, white again. The image flickers, and his expression bends with it, a faint curve at the mouth thinner than a smile, stranger. It glints the way a knife does before it slices.Bookmarked by Poolies

With a shoulder straight into the door, he entered the locker room, rushing and praying that he-
Jannik was just about to take his boxers off. He turned at the bang of the door against the wall and smiled, straightening up and turning with a subtle but true smile.
"There's my champion." He opened his arms.
Carlos' eyes widened and the world stopped.
Jannik isn't angry at him. Jannik isn't crying. Jannik doesn't hate him. Jannik is smiling at him. Jannik still loves him despite the loss. Jannik has put them before the win.
They survived the ultimate test.
They are ok.

Summary
What had begun as an idle observation among the tour players had transformed with time into an unspoken rule, and then a spoken rule, then a generally incontrovertible fact.
It didn’t start out as an active decision, for Jannik. At first, of course, he wasn’t playing in any finals. Sure, he won a few matches, but the sixth set isn’t for winners. It’s for tournament winners. Champions. And their runners up.Later, when he won, he declined. When he lost, he was declined. No one desired him in that way. Long and lanky. Too quiet. Too cold. Too alien. An outlier. By the time that changed, helped along by a grand slam title and a gucci sponsorship, it was too late.
By that time, Jannik was untouchable.
Poised and professional, pious in his dedication to the game. Aloof, ascendant, and apparently all too alluring as a result. The fact remains. Jannik Sinner doesn't play the sixth set. Because he doesn’t lose.
Of course, there’s one exception.Bookmarked by Poolies

Summary
“I think we should make a deal,” Carlos whispers in his ear.
"A deal?” Jannik asks, tightening his hold on Carlos’s ass when he begins to grind on him more pointedly.
“I think,” Carlos says lightly, pressing a sweet kiss to his parted lips, drawing another moan from him, “that I’ll let you fuck me the next time you win.” When Jannik opens his eyes, he finds all the wicked taunting he heard in his voice written all over his face. He’s about to protest when Carlos flips him with a strong hold on his hips. Jannik’s gasp is muffled where his face lands in a pillow. “Until then,” Carlos continues, pressing kisses to each of the bumps of Jannik’s spine, “your ass is mine.”
or, Jannik and Carlos made a deal after the Roland Garros final, and it's time for Jannik to cash in.

Summary
Jannik feels something pinch low in his chest, part laughter, part something else. “It’s ridiculous,” he says, but the words snag, almost tripping over a smile he doesn’t want to give away.
Carlos doesn’t defend it. Doesn’t dismiss it. He laughs—open, easy, untroubled—and the sound lands heavier on Jannik than he expects. “They have good taste.”
“They’re insane,” Jannik counters.
“Maybe.” Carlos’s grin deepens. “But I kind of like it.”
That stops Jannik. “You like people making up fake stories about us?”
Carlos shrugs like the question’s made of air. “They could make up worse things.”The world calls it chemistry. The internet calls it sincaraz.
Jannik calls it torture.
