Summary
Reader has been a lone wolf for a long time, and intends for it to stay that way. However, she soon realises that having a little company and help from others isn’t so bad.
Super slow burn fic, loosely following the events of the game (so full of spoilers), it may not necessarily be in perfect chronological order/follow canon completely. I'll be changing certain things up whenever I see fit, and while some characters may die, Arthur will not. It's going to have smut in it later down the line! Finally, this is unlikely to be completely historically accurate since I'm not a historian, but I will try and be as accurate as possible :)

"You better watch she don't hogtie you next, Marston." He'd said, when John had teased me about my fumble with the bounty strapped to the back of my horse. He'd almost gotten away from us and I'd had to chase after the guy with my lasso swinging in order to get him back.
"Implying she ain't done that already,” John bit back, his tone far too suggestive for his meaning to be in any way ambiguous. '

This is a 'masterpost' of sorts for my OC Ricks, Tailor Rick and Ice Cream Rick. These stories have been posted over on tumblr over a period of months and it follows the same dimension, HF002, and thus the same Reader insert character. “Have any of you noticed how Arthur’s been actin’ lately?” you ask as you work on laundry with them together, near the edge of camp at the bank of the lake, “He’s been... off since we left Horseshoe.”
“I’ve noticed he’s a bit snappier, but with the full moon bein’ tonight I guess that isn’t entirely unexpected,” Tilly murmurs, batting away a few flies with a scowl from where she lies on the bank of the river as she works the dirty laundry against her scales.
“But Arthur’s never been like that. He’s always had great control.”
“Maybe, but he’s older, and he never took a mate. Well, we were pretty sure he was courtin’ y—”
Pressingly, Mary-Beth glances from you to the kitsune, “Karen!”
“Ah right, sorry,” she rolls her eyes minutely, “He just hasn’t officially takin’ a mate, which at this point is a bit odd for him.”
Karen’s words have you reeling for a moment, and you look to her, baffled, “A what now?”
