Summary
Charles has a horrible date, and no one is answering the phone to help him. As a last resort, he calls Max, his sort-of-friend/coworker/childhood-enemy-turned-maybe-crush who comes to pick him up. A day later, Max offers to take Charles out on a “fix-it” date, to show him how a real date should go. However, the ‘fake’ date turns out to be a little more real than either man had expected.

Summary
An old FIA rule says that unmated omegas aren't allowed to race in any category of motorsport.
Because of that, Charles Leclerc has been hiding as a beta since he first presented as an omega-until a breakthrough heat destroys how hard he's worked and reveals his designation.
Ferrari, facing a major loss in sponsorship money, offer him a choice: leave Ferrari and motorsport forever, or agree to an invite only auction for the rights to mate him, with proceeds filling the hole in the budget.
Charles comes up with a plan to save himself, get an alpha he trusts, get Ferrari's money back, and keep his seat.
Unfortunately, Max Verstappen comes up with a plan, too.

Pascale looks at him. For a moment it is an odd look. But that quickly melts into a smile. One that is gentle around the eyes, and soft on the mouth. Somehow, it makes Charles feel young again — younger than how he already feels; twenty-one in a world where he is twenty-five.
“You don’t have to imagine it, mon garçon,” she says quietly. “It has already happened.”
