Summary
Will has just moved in with Mike, and the tension that’s come with it is undeniable. While Mike is initially just glad to have his old relationship with his childhood best friend back, the line between platonic and something more grows blurrier and blurrier, until it seems that everyone, except Mike, can see the clear chemistry between them that’s always gone overlooked. That is, until a disregarded painting is finally addressed.

Summary
“You’re—hard again.” Will breathed, as he ran his fingers down Mike’s stomach. Mike stopped him, grabbing his wrist and bringing his hand back to his chest.
“I don’t care, let me hold you.” Mike whispered into Will’s hair, kissing the top of his head.
“I—I don’t think I’ve ever come that hard in my life.” Will smushed his face against Mike, almost like he was embarrassed.
A smug satisfaction pooled in Mike’s gut at that. He’d never even done that before. He didn’t pry though, didn’t taunt Will with the words resting on his tongue. What? Wes can’t fuck you like that? Can’t make you come that hard?
It had been seven years since the party ended in Mike Wheeler’s basement after graduation. He was drowning in a sea of conformity, grasping at the only lifeline that ever made sense to him, his imagination.
Or-Mike ends up in New York, feeling aimless, until he sees a painting of his younger self hung in a gallery, a plaque next to the frame reading, “First Love-W.B”.

Summary
Something catches Will's eye as he scans the room; it's a page Mike has left out from one of his works. He's about to shut the door when he spots the title scrawled messily across the top:
'The Cleric and The Paladin’.
Underneath, ‘Chapter 7: Crazy Together’.
Will’s stomach sinks.
He doesn’t breathe as he rifles through years of half-finished canvases and stacked sketchbook. Not until he finds it.
It's a painting. It's dusty, and it's hard to make it out, but there it is. Mike's hand placed on Will's. The canvas is old, worn. Loved.
He turns it over, hoping he’s wrong. Praying he doesn’t see what he knows he will see.
His own handwriting, scribbled on the back.
It reads, ‘Crazy Together.’

Will and Mike haven't seen each other for three years. Will has fallen into a depression that feels impossibly large and inevitable. But when he receives a letter from Mike, something ancient yet familiar burns in him. There is a story Mike wanted to tell so badly, but couldn't. There is a story Mike will rewrite. There is history Mike will rewrite.
