    If medical checkups following a mission weren’t required, Ed would have ignored the burning pain in his stump until he had a good reason to visit Winry and get it fixed. But this? No, Ed wouldn’t just take off his leg because of a bit of discomfort.

    After his automail leg breaks for the first time since receiving it, Ed is suddenly forced to confront the realities of having a disability - if people would only stop staring, all of this would be so much easier to deal with.
