Yusuf’s mom is very pleased with it, her cheeks rosy and her voice high with excitement when she informs Yusuf he will be travelling to Genoa.
Yusuf is far less happy about it.
“Really, mother, how can you be okay with this? It's worse than some sort of beauty pageant! Parading in front of some prince in hopes of being chosen!”
He is stalking through her office, his balled fists hitting the desk whenever he passes it.
“To be invited to the ball is an honour, Yusuf.”
“Hah! As if he even wants me there! He just couldn't risk offending anybody.”
“Well, then, you just go and get introduced to him and enjoy the festivities and sightsee a bit. There’s a week of activities planned. I heard Genoa is quite pretty. Take a sketchbook.”
“Ball of Eligible Bachelors and Bachelorettes! Ugh! There is literally a tv reality show for this!”

Their baby immortal seems rather pleased with the effect as she helps herself to another bite of food, chewing smugly and raising a challenging eyebrow towards Joe and Nicky. Joe even spies Andy wearing a thoughtful look as she studies them.

Sam starts answering, talking about Gabriel double-timing as Loki, all the other gods they’ve met, the theological implications of one god creating many others, angels impersonating other gods, and Dean almost cares, but he can’t hear any of it. It’s white noise, blood rushing in his ears, all he can see is the slow caress of Joe’s thumb on Nicky’s shoulder, Nicky’s hand coming up to clasp at Joe’s.
OR: Sam and Dean meet the Old Guard. It awakens a few things in Dean.
