Summary
Seven years after the Kyuubi attack, the Sandaime Hokage’s sudden assassination threw Konoha into chaos, and at the end of the night, two factions arose in its shinobi forces: those who stayed and those who ran. Of those who ran, many were shinobi that the new administration denounced as traitors, deserters, and murderers.
Two years later, a ragged group of children who vanished the night of the Sandaime's assassination, who would have been raised in relative peace but instead grew up running, were recruited to fight a war for the homes they barely remembered.
In which Kakashi is forced to the forefront of yet another war, Itachi is given to maudlin internal monologues, Shisui alternates between coping and dissociating, and Zabuza wonders why he couldn’t have left the honor to the fucking samurai.

Summary
It took a long time for him to calm down, to stop screaming and thrashing and demanding to know just what exactly happened. Through his hysteria, Father managed to give a rushed sequence of events – bad information, an ambush, Earth benders, no one else in the mission survived and they did not think Lu Ten would either, except the boulder fell strangely, crushed his arm, but staved off enough bleeding to keep him alive until healers arrived, he was lucky. Not that Lu Ten felt lucky.
OR
Lu Ten survives, but his arm does not, leading to Zuko becoming his temporary scribe while he learns to write with his non-dominant hand; at the same time, he starts realizing family doesn't mean the same thing to everyone

Grandfather took a sip of his own tea and tsked, before looking up at Lu Ten. “The same leaves from the same bush following every instruction your father left and it still doesn’t taste the same, does it, Lu Ten?”
“If there were such a thing as a tea bender, it would certainly be Father,” Lu Ten agreed.

Summary
When people thought of Poseidon they thought of the sea; Poseidon, Lord of the Seas, Commander of the Waves, the Stormbringer. Upon consideration they would add Earthshaker, for catastrophic events such as earthquakes were hard to forget. Few remembered, however, that Poseidon was also Lord of the Horses. Stormbringer and Earthshaker tended to squeeze that one out.
Percy had been able to talk to horses for as long as he could remember. He liked to think he understood them. Although he's not entirely sure why the new stallion thinks he's its foal.
Poseidon is not jealous that Percy thinks a horse makes a better father figure than himself. At all.

"She likes me," Percy interrupted his eyes shining.
"Oh," Bree chuckled, setting down a bucket of feed to smile down at the child, "what makes you think that?"
"She told me," Percy said matter-of-factly. Sally felt as if someone had dropped a bucket of ice water on her. The horses talked to him. And she was worried about buying him a goldfish.

Summary
“I'm not the same person I was back in high school,” Clark says, “and I doubt they all are, either. What would be the point?”
“Oh, Clark,” Bruce is suddenly holding Clark's face with both of his hands, “the point is that I'm going to land us in a helicopter somewhere for all your classmates to see.”
Clark sighs and closes his eyes.
“Say 'yes', Clark,” Bruce orders.
Clark doesn't open his eyes, just says, “Yes, Clark.”

Summary
Jango thought that the Negotiation would be something like this.
Obi-Wan would say that he didn’t want the clones to be an army. Jango would say that a job is a job, and that he couldn’t take that back now. The lawyer would hem and haw and eventually help them come to some sort of conclusion, and then Jango would take Obi-Wan back to their rooms for a private discussion.
Instead, the lawyer says: “It appears that during your legal separation, you have signed your rights to your children away.”
--
Jango meets a lawyer and some guests. Things go about as well as they could.

Bookmarker's Notes
The lawyer looks at the three of them and says, “Oh no.”
Dooku, imperiously, says, “I’m to understand that my Grandpadawan is suing for custody of Mr. Fett’s clones.”
Jango attempts a beseeching look at the lawyer, who very studiously ignores him in favor of Obi-Wan and Dooku. Barrister Karfulye, clearly, has determined who the real players in this negotiation are. Jango, who is used to being one of the biggest threats in the room, isn’t sure how to feel about it.
----------------
“Now,” Master Plo says, as Dooku and Obi-Wan settle comfortably in to exchange barbs. “Why don’t you introduce me to some of your boys.”
By the time Jango makes it back to the lawyer, Master Plo’s gotten to know at least two battalion’s worth of clones, is steadily making his way into the hearts of a third, and has at least three cadets hanging onto his shoulders.
