For now, this is just a one-shot that has been dominating my mind. It may turn into a full length chapter fic at some point.
The further into the facility Bobby and Eddie got, the worse the itching and pain deep within his bones became. Eddie was doing his best to grit his teeth and force his feet ahead, all too aware that Bobby, his Captain, friend and father-figure was only inches away from him. Completely in the dark about the danger that brushed against him.

Claire was there in minutes, “what happened?”
“Flash grenade went off, I don’t think he can hear shit- I- I don’t know what to do.”
But Claire only sighed as she hurried past Frank, “Shit not again Matt-“ she mumbled.
That made Frank pause mid-step, “Again?”
Or, After Matt temporarily loses his hearing again, Frank learns about the other times Matt’s hearing had stopped working.
