Grian had been running for what felt like hours, gliding through the deep void in an attempt to escape the Watchers.
After finally finding a server to hide in he quickly realises that it was, in fact, not abandoned as he had assumed.When Xisuma went to check the new Hermitcraft Server he saw an intruder hack into it - quite literally.
Though it quickly turns out that the intruder was more a fugitive, running away from the very monsters the admin hated with his entire being.Walking a thin line between truth and lie Grian tries his best to cling to the new safe haven to heal up and hide from his captors, making more connections than he had preferred.

Every beat of it felt impossibly slow and it was as though there was a frigidness in his blood he couldn’t get rid of. Bdubs was nothing if not a good actor, so he kept smiling and pretending and playing along. He played his role right to the end with an arrow lodged in his back; he hadn’t even felt the arrow, he just felt how his body gave up and collapsed beneath him.

Grian knew a lot of things.
He knew how to cook for a crew of 60 people. He knew how to clean and scrub the deck until his arms went numb. He knew how to avoid being the crew's punching bag for the night. He knew when to shut up and do what he was told.
But most importantly — he knew not to hope.
Because hoping hurts.
