Did Falin really like bloodshed?
She had been a Healer, she had enjoyed being a Healer, before it all happened. She liked the satisfaction of healing someone and making them feel better. Especially her brother’s party. She liked avoiding violence, even if she wasn’t meek, and liked finding solutions to problems that were the most peaceful. She hugged ghosts till they left corpses, stopped in dungeons to look at bugs, that was always the person she was.
That was before that person literally dissolved to bones in that dungeon.
Before she awoke once, barely cognizant, then frenzied.
Before she awoke twice, something completely new.

Confusing new course loads, a mother she feels too expected to impress, and a rather nasty case of isolation thanks to anxiety she struggles to control.Then, she meets the Touden Siblings, who run a Plant Nursery just outside of her university. But more than that, she meets Falin. Falin, charming, wonderful, kind Falin Touden.

On what's probably the most irresponsible and unpredictable choice she's ever made in her entire life, Marcillle pitches a far-out idea: a road trip, paid for by her, to knock off every last thing on Falin's bucket list. Whether or not they reach the end is not up for debate.
Marcille's in love with a girl who's dying of becoming a dragon, gosh dangit, and she's gonna do whatever she can to make sure she doesn't leave this world unhappy. Even if it means eating gross, icky monsters.

Marcille wants to marry Falin in a country where the two women's rights are constantly challenged; Senshi wants to take care of the local environment and promote sustainability in their community; Chilchuck, fresh from divorce, wants to succeed in his locksmith business, and Laios wants to keep his family safe, his plants/projects happy, his job peaceful, and his neighborhood strong and healthy. Together, they hope to endure and thrive.
