Her face doesn't twist in an awkward expression, but her eyes don't really meet his, as she settles them in a part of his neck. He swallows dry, letting her gather her words.
“I have been wanting to see you and didn't realize that my element had enveloped you in that excitement. I'm sorry.” She settles with that and shifts her eyes up to his face, and there's only a gentle resignation in her eyes.
In the edge of Dragonspine, an awkward but distant meeting takes place.

Kaveh walked off and before Alhaitham could even look up a loud slam of Kaveh's door echoed through the house.
Alhaitham stood there, tears forming in his eyes. He never cared how anyone thought about him but what Kaveh said to him shattered him in pieces.
''Is that... what he really thinks about me...'' Alhaitham sobbed to himself.
Alhaitham could not think straight anymore, he fell to his knees, a loud thud could be heard echoing through the living room. He never cried this much before, he did not care if Kaveh could hear him crying. Before he could even register the door of Kaveh's room opening, blooming with light coming from his room, Alhaitham passed out completely.

Summary
Setting course for Heizou’s agency, Shinobu rolled her shoulders and took her dagger out of its sheath. She absent-mindedly twirled it between her fingers. Fidgeting with something that required some level of concentration often helped her think.
Before she knew it, her feet had carried her to Heizou’s front door and not to his office. Her brow furrowed and she frowned beneath her mask. Shinobu raised her hand to knock but the door opened and she froze.
“Oh,” Heizou blinked, then his face softened. “Didn’t think I’d get a visit today. Is everything okay?”
“Sorry,” she said softly. “I didn’t want to bother you. I should let you get to whatever you were on your way to–”
Heizou stopped her by plucking the dagger from her hand and spinning it between his fingers. He looked at it curiously. Then his eyes shifted knowingly to Shinobu. “Itto pissed you off.”
After Itto leaves Kuki with no more fucks to give, she visits the only person she knows will help her calm down.
