Summary
Still a trainee, Zanka is struggling to adapt. The rigid discipline that once carried him to the top of Hell Guard Academy leaves him floundering among the casual chaos of the Cleaners, uncertain of where he fits.
Thankfully, Enjin has been keeping him close, a grounding force amid all the uncertainty.
Then on one fateful market venture, he finds his eyes transfixed, staring into tasselled blue.
A longing ache stirs within him.
Enjin gets a bright idea.

Summary
Zanka seems to get really sick after a job, and Rudo realizes there's a lot more factors at play than what meets the eye.
AKA: Rudo learns a lot from Zanka, even when he's not trying to teach him. And maybe they aren't as different as it seems like they are.

Summary
At Penta, when they had met Amo, Zanka had not expected the fear of Enjin dying to shake him as bad as it had done so.
It's all a bad nightmare that replays in his head every now and then. Zanka does not expect it to be more than that. He does not expect the violent nature it grows, the images he can't look away from.
Zanka does not expect his fear to bleed so profusely onto his day to day life. Slowly, Zanka's control slips, it does so until it creates friction between him an Enjin. Zanka is fine, he just needs time to be alone.
It all comes to a breaking point.

They’d been on the road for a little over an hour when Gris’s voice buzzed over Enjin’s collar:
“Enjin, is Zanka in your car?”
(Gris’s voice through the collar was unusually urgent, for such a stupid question).
“He’s in your car,” Enjin replied calmly, not taking his eyes off the rumbling road ahead.
Gris’s comm link was still open (Enjin could hear some indistinct but frantic-sounding chatter from Follo and some of the other Supporters in the background), but the man himself made no reply.
“He’s in your car, isn’t he?” repeated Enjin. His eyes reflexively flicked up to the mirror, to the empty seat behind the front passenger seat that was usually (if unofficially) reserved for Nijiku Zanka.
“…We thought he was in your car.”
