There were rules to this sort of thing.
Unspoken, but universally accepted rules.
Rules that they kept. Fucking. Breaking.
And the problem with breaking rules was that once you started, it was difficult to stop, especially when you didn’t face any immediate consequences. Almost like maybe the rules didn’t matter to begin with. Like maybe it was okay, just this once, and then when it was okay - when it turned out nothing bad happened whatsoever - then maybe it was okay a second time. And a third. Maybe that specific rule didn’t actually apply to you at all.
And maybe the next one didn’t either.
The rules were as follows:
#1. No kissing
#2. No cuddling
#3. No feelings
#4. No jealousy
#5. No promisesEasy enough to follow.
Until they weren’t.

Summary
Coming back from his failed trip to Canada, Logan returns to the school to find a new teacher staffed that smells similar to himself. It was a shock to discover that this teacher also has similar mutant abilities. This new teacher also possesses the strangest laugh that he has ever heard and finds himself wanting to hear it more. Charles suggest that it would be to Logan's benefit to befriend their newest addition. Though even Charles didn't expect the outcome of the two becoming much more than friends within a short time.
