Summary
Yesterday the Bioware writers were all fired. In honor of Bioware writers and to put an end to my thinking of Veilguard at all, I’m choosing to write an alternate universe headcanon that will ignore Trespasser and Veilguard.
The name Ashel Telhim comes from two elvish phrases: “Asha’belannar” means “The Woman of Many Years” and “Ir tel’him” means “I’m me again.”
As a woman of many years who wishes to be herself again on the subject of Dragon Age, it seemed fitting. Ashel for me is my choice to express women in a plural form by making up elven grammar. This story will be driven by fictional women who also wish to be themselves again.
“Tel’him” in English as Tell Him was too much to ask me to pass over in wordplay.
This begins somewhere after the end of Inquisition and the death of Flemeth, shortly after the Inquisitor’s spy network has provided the information that Solas is Fen’harel.

This is in response to a prompt from Shaterina upon reading "The Tyfil" asking for an extension of that AU with these parameters:
They can go do what she said, Sidonis, his mother...
Through those missions she can show him his color doesn't mean what he thinks it means. She can prove to him his value, his worth.I also think it would be awesome if they came up with a new color for the two of them that symbolizes what they are together as a whole, as a unit. After all there is no Shepard without Vakarian, and vice versa.
Of course, I would absolutely adore seeing their relationship bloom as well, because I am such a greedy Shakarian fan. They are my OTP!
Hell, I think it would be amazing if there was some Dom/Sub going on in the bedroom. It could go both ways even. FemShep being Dom, because she is his Avah, or Garrus being Dom, because of their new color. That would be my preference, as it would empower him as well as help him understand their true equality. She is Avah out of the bedroom, but he is [enter equivalent title here] in the bedroom.

This is a continuation of the story "Of Kittens and Broken Things" from an idea generated in the chapter "Trial and Error" where Drala'tem and Senar imagine what they would do with time travel.
This is what they would do. First they had to create time travel. That took up a lot of time.
This is an AU, reading "Of Kittens and Broken Things" first would be recommended.

Summary
This is an inadvisedly darkly romantic alternate universe of my Mass Effect piece "Of Kittens and Broken Things" after Chapter 13 that became "Broken Thing" and now I'm splitting off from that after Chapter 1 because my hand slipped for a month or so. Spoiler alerts for both of those pieces. Read "Of Kittens and Broken Things" up to Chapter 13 and "Broken Thing" up through Chapter 1 to understand the plot setup for this.
You can read it without reading those, but there might be a big percentage of clueless "What is going on here?" that may or may not be relieved by reading those pieces. Senar and Cara live in the 'what is going on here?' space.
There's terminology, lore and mythology from other pieces of my work describing Thane's background so I'll put some setup spoilers and new/old words in the notes.
This is the result of Senar rapping "shave and a haircut" on my brain's door for a while with me unwilling to give the final two knocks until he had come up with something really good to justify my hand slipping. Again.
Here's a word from "Delicate Subject" that does not show up in this story except in spirit. Turian word - Invas'nam - A truth held so close to the heart that the tongue cannot reach.

Prompt from Mr. War to have a romance between Dr. Karin Chakwas and a male Paragon Shepard featuring a pregnancy. Karin Chakwas being an amazing woman, she had to have an utterly charming man. An infuriating, charming man. An infuriating, disarming, charming man.

Summary
This is bonus content for "Of Kittens and Broken Things" - so spoiler alert if you haven't read it. The timeline should be between Chapter 75 and 76, within a few weeks after Chapter 75. I'm re-recording this series for YouTube and it occurred to me that I could add some stuff that I wanted to hear, that I've been thinking about.
At the end of the series, a lot of time is skipped and transitions are made unseen. Drala'tem and Senar have a lot of potential gaps in how transition was achieved and what was said and done that I wanted to clarify. There's a lot going on with these two and since it's all first person, I found myself on review thinking "Wait... what... exactly happened between A and B, not to mention Q, R and S?" I figured they'd work it out and I got to the 'worked out' spot, but a quote from Leo Tolstoy occurred to me often when writing this story: 'All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.' In this context, Garrus and Cara attained 'happy' somewhere about 3/4 of the way through the story and they stay that way because they'd earned it. They were conflict resistant. (Continued in notes)

Summary
It's been a while since I finished writing "Of Kittens and Broken Things" and "Broken Thing" but the characters are part of my daily life in many ways so I have ongoing conversations with Garrus, Cara and Thane in his iterations. As a warning, this summary and the notes will have some spoilers for both of those stories, so if you haven't read them it'll result in "WHY DID YOU TELL ME THAT?" and if you haven't read them, trying to read this piece without context will result in "What the fuck is going ON here?" This piece is a requested prompt from the persona of Rin from "Broken Thing," who feels cheated of what he wanted to originally accomplish. Chapter 14 threw his plans into complete disarray and he never got the real chance to seduce his Lirya the way he wanted. We've been arguing about this for a while. He feels unfairly injured, to which I reply - That was the nature of the prompt. I also made you a God. Get over it. He is not over it. (Continued in notes)

Prompt from Julie5 asking for a side story based on a definitely-not-interested Shepard and an interested Javik based on a conversation with Javik in my story "Delicate Subject"
So here's a new Shepard in a canon universe and a bunch of head canon Prothean lore.
Story starts at the "From Ashes" DLC retrieval of Javik and continues on through the ME3 world.
It's a romance, but not fluffy so much as pointy and bickery.

Prompt request by KuraiUmmei - originally from the Kink meme - "On Omega Garrus says, "Over the years I've gotten used to the smell of burning bodies... that's probably a bad sign." In the Cerberus Daily News there's a quote from a Turian soldier on a Hastatim squad (Turian teams responsible for eradicating civilian resistance during war): "The burial units are tough to look at, and the cremator smell gets to you..."
I thinkGarrus was on one of the 'death squads' in a Turian conflict of some kind. Can someone write a small fic about Garrus' time doing this incredibly psychologically tough job? If this history affects his behavior in some way during the ME1/ME2 events that would be great.
"The Hastatim are supposed to get [kill] everyone, but 50% of the ones I know won't shoot a kid even if they are looting."
"These people have been warned. All that's left are shooters and looters".”
"There is no such thing as a Turian civilian."
(Jumps up and down and waves at KuraiUmmei) LOVE YOU! Thank you for art and conversation and your voice!

Vulpixer's prompt "One of my favorite things is imagining the character's background and how it would shape them. Even though Shepard is a charismatic badass, I've wondered if it could ever just be a really good act. What if they're extremely shy and introverted, and they were "highly encouraged" to join the Alliance."
Portrait of a Shepard who is by temperament and choice...a straight arrow of a nerdy person, introverted and shy, working hard to maintain a persona of fire breathing force of nature.
Starts in ME1, AU afterward, Shepard inspiring changes in path and personality in others, which changes the galaxy. Shakarian with Thane insisting on 'it's really complicated' Shrios.
"Of Kittens and Broken Things" narrated on YouTube Me narrating with my husband providing the voice for Garrus. Huge thanks to KuraiUmmei who provided cover art and the voice of EDI and Irikah!

Summary
This is a birthday gift for Felinafullstop who said she’d like some Garrus/Thane smut. Since these guys are great together and I haven’t gotten a chance lately to get them together because they’ve been separately and together busy with an opinionated and difficult nerd (typecasting) it’s a shame and it’s time to fix that!
So for Felina, who has changed the course and river of my stories and thoughts, who is proof that love of story changes reality, that friendship has nothing to do with location, who from Candy Bards to Elcor Strippers, has made me laugh and we’ve made each other cry because there’s RANGE here…
I love you! Happy Birthday!

Summary
My version of Thane with one critical alteration to his timeline. He’s evil. Non-consent AU using the characters and plot from my story “Of Kittens and Broken Things.” Who would Thane be with all his energy directed toward selfish pursuit? Who would Thane be if he had a moment of seeing Shepard as Siha and did not follow her, but took her for himself? Portrayal of a brilliant Shepard not only challenged by the greater problems of the galaxy but by Thane intent on keeping her.
Spoiler alert for “Kittens.” Concept in the notes.
All Thanes were hurt in the making of this story.

Silly story based on the prompt from Vulpixer: "Remember Niftu Cal, the drugged up Volus who thought he was a Biotic God? What if the crew was dosed up and had the same mindset? Biotic Gods, Superheroes/Villains, etc. Any crew member(s). Crack is more than welcome."
Based on my characters from "Of Kittens and Broken Things." This takes place somewhere silly on the timeline beyond chapter 38, reflecting events of the story up to that point and attitudes of the afflicted.

Summary
Continuation of story from "Poetry Slam", a request for a female polyamorous Shepard managing to romance both Garrus and Thane. Starts most of the way through ME2 after loyalty missions and the buildup to the Omega Relay, extends through the time frame of ME3 with altered circumstances driven by change in plot and character.
Romance, humor, smut, snark, fluff, love story, wish fulfillment and consequences to those changes that swings wide into AU. What happens if Arrival DLC didn't happen that way? What if Shepard never hands the Normandy over? What if Garrus and Thane don't particularly feel like following orders?
Courtesy warning that it starts relatively fluffy, but explores abuse, non-con elements, psychological and physical torture elements.

Summary
This is part 3 of the Reverie and Tiremit series, a prompt to provide a conversation between Garrus and Thane after a plot point in "Delicate Subject." This takes place immediately after the end of chapter 21 of that story. Major, otherwise out of context spoilers for that story, this likely won't make sense in any way, given that "Delicate Subject" has the addition of new plot, an OC and takes place in an AU.
"Delicate Subject" is told through Shepard's POV, so I am just going to add it on to the series as a separate prompt and not change the point of view of the main story, just tack this bit on to see something Shepard would not see. This prompt is told from Thane's POV.

A one shot inspired by ArtificialStupidity from a comment on Fault Lines - "I'm pretty sure Thane could read off the stock market ticker and it would still be one of the sexiest things I've ever heard. Surpassed only by Garrus reading it off, although they might give each other a run for their money. ;)"

While writing Venri I developed an idea of who I thought Thane Krios would be and the kind of Shepard that would fall in love with him. People who deserved each other. Smart, scary, Renegade without apology. Anti-fluff. Love between a Butcher and an Assassin. Fits into plot points but rewrites motivations and conversations. Because damn, that man deserved better. All from Thane's POV.
Thank you for kudos and comments, always something that brightens up my day. Thank you for emails to [email protected], views on YouTube

Summary
Reimagining of Female Shepard/Garrus Vakarian story through the game series. Mostly canon compliant with additions. Accent on snark and smut.
ME 1, 2 and 3 Youtube videos under the username Recidiva Quixotic with a play through for Morim and Garrus. I grabbed every bit of Garrus dialogue that wasn't drowned out by gunfire or Reaper noises. Includes a few additions that I love such as "Once again the Salarian Union requests that you stop touching that."
THANK YOU to Chiara Keating who wrote a song, "Losing Myself" and Discovery System who rendered models here
