Mass Effect modern AU centered around our favorite biotic boy Kaidan Alenko. In the AU, BAaT is essentially a special needs school, and 'biotic' is a colloquial term for a neurodivergent person. Also everyone is a human bc modern AU but some alien features carry over ig, mostly represented by body type. Also, besides Vyrnnus and Harkin (if you actually like them then sorry ig) (and to an extent Kaidan's mom), every other character i took from canon is for the most part a good person.

Short snap-shots of how much of a bad time Mass Effect 2 was for my Shepard, including a bad break up and a darker take on the Thane romance. Well... kind of a darker take on everything.
For all 16 people who read this: I'm updating this fic all the way today. Real life is about to hit like a ton of bricks (in a good way), and I decided it would be better to just finish this series off in a big go.
