She would be the first human Specter if she was allowed to join. Yet the shakedown mission on Eden Prime went south and she had one goal afterwards. Take down the rouge Specter Saren. Shepard would have never expected what came in her life due to that mission and what challenges she had to face to do just that.

Evy does, pushing up and off the desk, taking his hand as she does. She lets Kaidan draw her into him, lets him kiss their joined hands.
This doesn’t feel entirely real, like all too soon she will wake up in another timeline where Mars didn’t happen, where the Reapers aren’t here, and Evy is on house arrest with no way of checking in on those she cares for. That if she closes her eyes, Kaidan will be gone. That they somehow didn’t find their way back to each other.
