Summary
"Slaughter is your bedfellow. Once, worlds burned in your wake. They may yet again, or perhaps your guilt will beget a futile kindness."
There is no redemption for the warlord, but there may be escape.
Based of the Haunted custom start from the Secrets of the Frontier mod, from origin as a ruthless warlord, a guilt-ridden spacer, to "rebirth" as Child of the Lake.

Summary
One thing that always bothered me: why did everyone just accept the collapse of the Domain and the loss of the gate network?
This is a story about the people who didn’t.
Set in the crumbling backwaters of the Persean Sector, fic follows the rediscovery of a long-lost Terran Federation scout ship—and the sparks it lights in a world resigned to slow decay. As political inertia and factional dogma threaten to bury the truth, a handful of officers, engineers, and bureaucrats push back. Drawing on the forgotten legacy of the 14th Battlegroup, they attempt the impossible: to revive the gate network and confront the darkness creeping in at the edge of known space.
A tale of salvage, secrecy, and stubborn hope in a sector that forgot how to dream.

Summary
Off meds now. Writing stuff. Posting it here in case it gets yeeted from Fractal Softworks forum. These texts are very violent, depressing and about horribly miserable and disturbed individuals. Shining an alternative light on the Starsector universe that I feel is more akin to how a society would actually look like in a world so devoid of hope.

Summary
Hero. Traitor. Savior. Tyrant. Whether praised or scorned, the Hero of Maxios, Lion of Sindria, Supreme Executor of the Sindrian Diktat, Admiral Philip Andrada is a legend of the Persean Sector. Few have managed to make such an impact on history single-handedly, and his deeds, both heroic and vile, will be remembered long after he is gone.
Yet gone he will be, and new legends will take his place.
Perhaps there is something of value left for him to pass on to one such rising legend. Perhaps this is his last chance to reveal some of the truth of the man behind the myth in turn.

Summary
In the darkest corners of the Milkyway. In the center of life. Buried in the outer world. Covered with fabric. Growing.
A truth had been hidden.
-----
We weren't alone.
Earth. . .
Wasn't alone in the near endless expanse of space. They were twisted, foreign and yet familiar. They were us. And we were them. We shared a common fact. And we shared a similar thought.
We. Were. First.
The rumble of war machines, the sounds of tormented sinners, machinery building the rightful future, the countless questions the universe provides that can't be solved, and the clink of a wine glass.
We conquered life, space, and nature.
It's time to solve this, with our arsenal, our knowledge, and our will. In whatever form that may take. . .
Note from author:
I don't have any expectations for this to go well. In ANY FASHION.

Summary
The First Consolidation was the Domain's conquest of known space. The Second Consolidation was for control of the ever expanding fringes. The Third Consolidation was to solidify the Domain's grasp through an entire arm of the galaxy.
In an alternate timeline in which The Collapse never came to be, the Domain now faces a different crisis altogether. Rebellions and secession movements unseen since the Second Consolidation that took place in the Mid-Expansion Epoch have sprung up in the newly colonized Persean and Centarus arms of the galaxy, taking advantage of their distance from the Domain's reach and the temporary shutdown of the Gates undergoing a technological overhaul, to overwhelm the thin garrisons and establish independent polities. Once the Domain responded with three elite battlegroups, war quickly breaks out between the rapidly deploying Domain Armada in control of the Core Worlds and the fortifying Persean Rebellion of The Fringes, as megacorporations like Tri-Tachyon seek to profit from the chaos, and the many radical Luddic sects who are angered by the devastation of their promised land resort to violence. All while a fleet of refugees from another dimension try not to get torn apart in the crossfire.

Summary
The Persean Sector may have been extremely damaged after the collapse but 200 years after it still remains the greatest place for opportunity and a potential wealth...if you can afford a ship or are born in wealth otherwise your screwed.
But this isn't a story of some notorious pirate or some great hero, this is merely the tale of some self proclaimed "genius opportunist" dragging along a unwilling crew to whatever idiotic scheme he's cooked up now.

The Domain's return leads to the Persean Sector being restored... somewhat. The new commanders that were sent in are a little bamboozled over what has happened in the last 200 cycles.
