"I am not asking what you expect," he interrupts, keeping his tone gentle, though, so as not to scare her out of this spell of vulnerability he's found her in tonight. "I am asking simply what you desire for yourself. Do you want a baby, Pen?"
"Yes."

Why had she packed them? This was absurd. She swore to herself she wouldn’t need them. That it was a family holiday and she was going to behave herself, not rouse suspicion.
