    Once upon a time, in a land comforted by the northern wind, there were dragons.

    There were so many dragons, and so many humans, that both sides were determined to triumph in a neverending war of them simply being each other's enemies.

    There was also a human who was saved by a dragon, who learned to interpret their behavior, and who even lost dragons to the war between their species.

    This human fled with two lone hatchlings.

    One, among the last in a dwindling species.

    The other, something that had never been before, and would never be again.

     

    Or: the live action HTTYD movie was awesome in my humble opinion. This is my own take on feral/raised-by-dragons Hiccup, and I'm happily running with the opportunity to write a story with non-human POVs and affectionate forehead taps.
