Steve is struggling with years of trauma from the upside down, he buries his feelings and his problems in unhealthy coping mechanisms and is struggling to keep his head above water until someone swoops in and puts in the time to try and help set him back on the right track. During this time they both realise they might enjoy each others company more than most normal friends should.
OR Steve Harrington is struggling with his unhealthy coping mechanisms and none other than Eddie Munson swoops in and attempts to pick up the pieces.
(Somewhat modernised because I don’t know too much about the 80’s but I certainly will try to keep it as close to cannon as possible!)

Get your tickets now for the tour of band The Sex havers making a headline around the world. Opening for them will be the hot new alternative band 3:15.
Dream is the lead singer of a band formed during his high school years. After years of work they are big enough to be heard on the radio. George is the drummer of an alternate band that formed quickly and hit top charts almost as fast.
When both band's managers decided headlining their bands together will be great for marketing, things take a rocky turn. With the influence of attitudes, tour, addictions, peer pressure, and love, Dream has to toe the path of right and wrong when being a celebrity. And George is set to ruin the good boy image the other has following him around. All while Dream is determined to write a new hit song his management team will love.

Studying his way into writing a hit novel George has to master the ups and downs of his college life, overprotective roommate, and the friends with benefits he has going on with his best friend. Only problem is the line of feelings had been blurred years ago, and Dream's future lies between a pretty blondes watermelon flavored lips. Will George be able to skate past the due dates of writing or will he fall victim to the hockey captain once more?

Eddie Munson awoke in the Upside Down to find not only that he had been left behind, but that something was… very wrong with him. He scrambles to find the only familiarity he can in hopes it will lead him to someone who will know how to help. Or, at least, assure him that he’s really alive.
This fic starts right after the events with Vecna, beginning that night and continuing into the two day time skip. This is a mirrored fic with @outofmygourd 's fic "Make Me Feel Like I Am Breathing". This is Eddie's POV, they are writing Steve's POV. We intended for the reader to alternate between chapters while reading (for example, read my chapter one, then read their chapter one, and continue on like that. or vice versa.) This is not necessary, if you would prefer to wait and read all of one you totally can, but things will make more sense if you read both POVs the way we intended.
