Summary
Tommy loved his family. Sure, they bickered and fought sometimes, and they had their problems, but they were still family.
Maybe they’d been a bit busy lately, and they hadn’t spent too much time together, but they loved Tommy too. Tommy was sure of it.
If only they could spend more time together. That’d fix it.

“This war sucks ass, huh?” Tommy tried to lighten the mood, throat tight. From his spot on the dirty and stained couch, wings stretched out behind him, he could see that both of them looked exhausted. Fuck this avian war. He hated hiding inside like a mouse.
“Tell me about it.” Tubbo forced a laugh. He looked stressed, but Tommy supposed that wasn’t unusual anymore. He wondered if it was his fault before pushing that out of his mind entirely. He didn’t want to think about it.
Casting about for a better topic, he tried escapism. “We should just leave. We can build a cabin in some forest far away where no one will ever bother us again!”

Technoblade, AKA The Blood God, was proud of being a villain. But Hostages were not his forte. He’d prefer to just kill his opponent and get it over with. Why add extra steps and waste food to keep the hostage alive? Publicity? Money? Unnecessary.
...But, when he found out Theseus was a mere child, he figured he could make an exception. After all, he’d rather free the kid from the government then send him back, so kidnapping it was.
