Summary
A handsome, supernatural stranger meets Saxon, and throws his disastrous life further into chaos. But hey, someone had to show Saxon to have a little pleasure with his pain.
Saxon and Lochy's eyes are glued to the puzzle box inside Saxon's palm, watching with bated breath as the pieces in the middle extend up before they turn in a circle, slotting themselves back down where they lower into place with a prominent click, and Saxon's not sure why, but something about it has his stomach swooping, a feeling of dread tightening from somewhere deep inside his chest.
Sure enough, something in the atmosphere changes. It feels like the walls are alive - like they're breathing as they shake and begin to split open.
A blinding white light spills out from the hole inside Saxon's bedroom wall, a rumbling sound kicking up out of nowhere, circling around them like an earthquake.
The two brothers share a look, their eyes wide and fear-stricken, mouths gaping as their chests heave in unison.

Daniel watches a very drunk Saxon slurping at a clear, plastic cup of champagne by the Christmas tree, that for some reason is still up, five days after that dreadful holiday has passed.
“Why the fuck are you still wearing that hideous sweater?” He grimaces at Saxon, his nose scrunching up in displeasure. “It's New Year's.” Not that that holiday is any less ridiculous than Christmas.
“I don’t have anywhere to go, I don’t need to look presentable,” Saxon says as he throws back another sip of champagne—it’s not his first choice, but his mom sent him home with it, so he might as well put it to good use. “I’m comfortable.”

Summary
Saxon knew this day would come - that he and Lochy couldn't possibly just go completely back to normal after Thailand, but he wasn't ready for it tonight. Not on Christmas Eve with a houseful of family members right below their feet.
His breath hitches, and there's a tight tension in his chest, like old wood being bent to give way to something strong trying to push through behind it.
“Lochy…” Saxon's voice is pleading, but Lochy's just blinking up at him with those big, soft, doe eyes, and Saxon already knows that he's done for.
