After Harry dedicated his life saving the magical world from the Dark Lord, he goes to live his life. And he lives it as he knows. He finishes his Auror program, gets employed, gets married, has children, and then Ginny dies in childbirth, delivering their third child, their little Lily Luna.
He gets over it, because he has children to care for, but he has a new plan. He'll quit the force, write adventure books for children until his children finish Hogwarts, and then he'll go through the steps of Gringotts Bank, and time travel. Back when Tom Riddle was still a small student, just a firstie.
He has accounts to settle. And it's not always about just Tom Riddle.Sometimes it's about the whole Wizarding Britain being full of it, and goblins don't want another creature war, so they send Harry to deal with it. They really should have thought that through.

So, Harry really has to reiterate that he did not want to do this. But after seeing those disgusting legilimizing books that completely revealed his thoughts as he was in the MIDDLE of a goddamn war and then scrapping his life together, and now he has to write bloody autobiography of his own to counter all the stuff written in those thrice-damned books!
It's not even the problem that they've been written, it's that they've been published on the muggle side and gone viral, and now even magicals know about them. So he just has to write his own autobiography or a collection of stories to crush that JK Bowling, Dowling, Mewling, - whatever her name is - Merlin, he feels like Lockhart! He does not want more fame.
And no, Hermione, just because he bombed Ministry Of Magic with time delayed skunk pellets in a badly done Dumbledore Goat costume, does not mean he is an attention seeker, he is healing his inner child.
So, yeah, he is stuck writing an autobiography. It's gonna be called Harry Potter's Plentiful Papers. He is NOT going to be in charge of it, Death is. Apparently, publishing other people's secrets is not good journalism. He thought Rita was a good one, though. Don't worry, he is going to sneak some in. -
