Wilbur’s breathing hitched as he looked into the pale eyes of the dead boy. Unlike before, his lips were no longer blue, and there was no more seaweed stuck in his blonde curls. He was sitting up now, the waves soaking the bottom of his pants as he sat on the sand across from Wilbur.
“You-”
“I’m not dead, Wil,” the boy said, the words tumbling out of him in a rush. “I’m not dead, don’t fucking listen to them when they say I’m dead because I’m not. You know I’m not!”
“I-I saw your body,” Wilbur stammered, unsure of how the dead boy knew his name.
“It’s not me! I don’t know what the fuck that thing was, but I’m not dead! You can feel it, can’t you?” The boy pleaded, his voice cracking as he started crawling on the sand towards Wilbur. “You have to save me, Wil. Please, you need to get me out of here!”
or, Wilbur finds a dead body at the beach, and that's only the start of his problems.

“It’s… Basically, I take in the kids who need immediate placement. It means that we can get a call at any time to take someone in, and usually won’t have much time to prepare, or information to prepare with. You won’t have a lot of warning, if any. You could come home from school one day and a kid will be here because I won’t have time to tell you."
“That’s okay.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, yeah. Tell them you want to be an… Emergency… Guy.”
Phil grinned. “I’m glad you’re okay with this, Wilbur.”They get their first call barely a month later. At two in the morning, Phil shakes Wilbur awake to tell him the news.

“I just don’t see why anyone would choose to live in a place without a bathroom,” Tommy shrugged. “But I guess you’re just weird.”
“I’m not weird! There are a lot of people who like living on the road,” Wilbur told him, furrowing his brows.
Tommy snorted. “Keep telling yourself that, bud. But I know you miss your shitter.”
Wilbur once again sighed. “Is this just what all our conversations are gonna be about? You harassing me over the fact that I don’t have a toilet?”
Suddenly, Tommy brightened up, as if he’d just remembered something. “As fun as that is, I actually have something to ask you.”
“What is it?” Wilbur asked, narrowing his eyes.
A hopeful smile spread across Tommy’s face. “Can you teach me how to play guitar?”
or, Wilbur agrees to teach a random kid how to play guitar, and ends up getting a little brother in the process.

Summary
Growing up in their humble weapons shop, Nya’s used to not having much. But she has Kai. As long as the two of them are together, things will be alright.
That’s not to say that she doesn’t wish they had more, sometimes. It would be nice not to worry about their next meal, or how they would pay rent.
And, if they could afford medicine, maybe illness wouldn’t be so scary. -

His free hand shoots out, landing on Tommy’s arm, and Tommy flinches back. A startled cry gets lost in Tubbo’s throat, but Dream only drags Tommy forward, grip unrelenting despite the way that Tommy tries to pull away, looking like he’s trying to detach himself from his skin, heels dragging the floor, wings flapping in protest, muscles straining, feathers wild–
And in a fleeting moment of clarity that cuts through the panic, suddenly Tubbo is able to recognize the contraption across the room, above their heads, what it resembles.
Iron pins embedded into the wall the way you would display a hunting trophy, irons pins arranged like--
Like a butterfly board.
