Tommy stutters, his tongue suddenly turning to rubber and stares at the man, one of the world's top villains, in his passenger's seat. “I—”
“One moment.” The Angel holds up a finger, popping the door open and looking towards the back of Tommy’s car. He cups a hand to his face. “Boys, get in this fucking car or I’m leaving you behind!”
Tommy twists in his seat, head snapping back to look out his back window and watches as three more men (holy shit, is that the Blade?) come darting towards his car.

“What I’m sayin’ is, if you happen to get yourself into more trouble than you can handle, I would probably not kick you out if you came knockin’ on my window again.”
Tommy’s eyes are saucers: two spiral galaxies brimming with infinite wonder and light.
“For real?” he asks, as suspicious as he is breathless with wonder.
“For real,” Techno echoes dryly back, grinning faintly as he stands. “I’ll come up with a way for you to return the favor.”

Summary
Tommy may be the God of Children, but he’s not a child any more. Alright, he’s not actually a fully-fledged god just yet, but he’s finally old enough to compete in the Championship of the Gods, which means he is officially, 100% a big man adult. He even has a secret mission from the God of Gods himself; Tommy is supposed to infiltrate the tournament and identify the powerful gods of the Syndicate, who are trying to steal back the power taken from them before Tommy’s birth. Thankfully his teammates in the tournament seem more than willing to give him a helping hand (and a much needed hug).

Tommy may be the God of Childhood, but he never actually had one. Popping into existence in the Realm of Godlings, Tommy grew up very much alone until he was discovered by the God of Gods long after he reached adolescence. When Dream sets Tommy to a dangerous task, he is more than willing to help repay his savior. But Tommy hasn’t yet realized that godlings are precious beings and once he’s been swept up into
