This is a scene test for a book I plan on writing in the future.
Velrüth sees a familiar insignia, the same insignia that lead to his siblings death. His body felt the same as it did that very night but ten fold. He does the unthinkable and breaks his vow of pacifism.

Summary
It was a cozy evening, Cynthia had a long day at work, and she wasn't getting any younger, so she crashed on the couch and just allowed herself to melt into it.
She let down all pretenses, all formalities, and just relaxed in the comfort of her home.
...She felt a weight hit the couch beside her to her left, and she knew who it was. She was used to the weight of the smaller form beside her after all these years.
She gently opened her eyes, and rolled her head to the side to look at Dawn, who looked back at her with a cute smile, always so happy to see her.
Despite how much she had matured over the years, she never lost that look of adoring admiration.
Cynthia lifted her left hand up, intending to brush it through Dawn's hair, but instead, Dawn's right hand came up to meet hers, entwining their fingers together quite romantically.
Cynthia smiled wider, and blushed softly, as their wedding rings rubbed together gently.

That is, if the playful nature of their relationship even lets them keep their outfits on.
