It was criminal that they didn't give us the scene where Moze finds Jiaoqiu, so I decided to do a one-shot on the scene. And then I was suddenly attacked by a whole bunch of ideas and it spiralled and now we have a multi-chapter, very long journey to recovery. Cheers!

Moze held tightly onto Jiaoqiu’s hand that was placed on his cheek and muttered, “Touch all you want so that you won’t ever forget my face.” He had thought long and hard about Jiaoqiu’s words that other day.
“I wonder if you‘ve changed?”
The reason for Jiaoqiu’s habit of frequently touching his face wasn’t just because he wanted to confirm whether or not it was really Moze, it was also because Jiaoqiu was afraid — He feared that he would someday forget what Moze looked like.

Hoolay’s escape did not only alarm the Arbiter Generals in Luofu, but they were also alerted that one of Yaoqing’s emissaries were taken by the Brood Lord’s group during their escape in Shackling Prison. Feixiao stiffened and wants to find out where the hostage was taken. Ever since she was a child, death follows her, and this is also the reason why she cherishes everyone dear to her. She cannot lose Moze and Jiaoqiu to the likes of Hoolay.

It takes too long to find Jiaoqiu.As he runs through the chaotic streets of Luofu, the Nameless at his heels, Moze can think of nothing else.
He doesn’t know how long it’s been. His injuries from the fight against Hoolay’s beasts are starting to catch up on him. He can't hide the limp anymore, but he can still move. He can still hold a blade.
He will keep going until he finds Jiaoqiu– or his body gives out. There’s no other option.

Summary
Alhaitham and Kaveh were roommates up until they had a fight causing Kaveh to leave, and neither ever got the chance to confess to the other. It has now been over a year and Alhaitham finally hears some news about the man he may or may not still be in love with. With this newfound information, and a sense of dread in his heart, Alhaitham ventures into the desert to find a missing Kaveh (and Aether and Paimon but he's more worried about his ex-roommate). Hopefully, his gut is wrong, and everything is okay.

Kaveh went missing after an argument, and Alhaitham tries to find him. This time, he had too much hope.
With that, Kaveh was gone in a flash of yellow and red, slamming the front door behind him. He was likely going to be at the tavern all night if that’s what he meant by “don’t look for me,” which basically translated to “I’m staying at the tavern” or something.
Alhaitham would find out that he regretted that night later.
