Abstract
Trellwolves (Aenocyon dirus), also known as dire wolves, are unique among canids on a number of factors, including their social structures. As a sapient species whose sapience is rooted in the teleozempathic hive mind known colloquially as the pack sense, trellwolf community structure is significantly more variable than that of their nearest evolutionary relatives, yet this variation occurs within a range of possibilities created by the underlying biological principles of trellwolf sex, gender, reproduction, and teleozempathic capacity. In this review of the extant literature on both trellwolf reproductive variation and community structures throughout time, we examine the web of connections and implications between the biological and sociological fields of aenocyonology and suggest that a biopsychosocial model may provide new insights in the field.

This was handled *perfectly*. Ryuji's slow decent into hormonal teen madness mixed with the exact right amount of feelings~. And his reluctance, resistance, and deflection seemed all like very Ryuji things to do as well- to Ryuji, there are Right things and there are Wrong things, and thinking that way about Akira goes into the later. I also *loved* Akira's reaction as well- very accepting, open, and yet also forceful, plot-driving, just like always lol.

So lovely- new and interesting concept, not one I'd seen done before but brilliantly realized and vivid. The feelings are a realistic arc of growth, and the magic makes sense, and the characterizations are beautifully on point! I love this Karkat, and I love this Gamzee, and I love how everything isn't easy, though it is natural. And Nepeta, and Sollux! And Equius and even.... a human, shall I say? :P And the art is gorgeous.
I'll be rereading this periodically.
