When Karen finds herself with a stalker, she is determined to handle it alone and not involve Matt at all. For the sake of their complicated friendship. But when Matt finds out, he has other ideas. Because if there is one thing he knows, it's that he isn't about to let anyone harm Karen Page. As the threat to Karen's safety grows, they both struggle with their unspoken feelings for each other which get harder to ignore. And maybe, they don't actually want to ignore them anymore.

It's Matt and Karen's wedding day, except the bride is under arrest, the ceremony is about to start and Karen is determined not to have this be the memory Matt is left with on the happiest day of their lives. One thing is certain though, the wedding of Matt Murdock and Karen Page was never going to be simple.

The heat presses against her skin, “You’ve had one night stands before, right?”
Matt’s knuckles turn white, “Not like this. Not with you.”
“Or we can just go back to pretending?” She offers, pressing her thighs together to emphasise her point, “Just let it build and build and build until it explodes and we end up right back here without the rules or boundaries to keep us safe.”

They come up with an agreement, one night to get it out of their systems and then back to normal. Karen Page is falling apart and pretending she’s fine. One unexpected night brings Matt back to her and forces her to confront a lot of long buried feelings that have been resurrected with him. Can her and Matt finally be honest with each other and themselves or will the threat of Fisk destroy any hope for Nelson, Murdock and Page?

She is two weeks early, impatient but stubborn. Karen, heavily pregnant and even more stubborn than their daughter, had managed to shoot a AVTF agent in the leg before Matt arrived, knocking out the other two with brutal efficiency. War had spilled out onto the streets of the Kitchen like blood through the cracks of a pavement and Matt will never forget the tremble in Karen’s voice when she drops the gun and hunches over, telling him something is wrong.

Mayor Fisk controls Hell’s Kitchen with his reign of terror. When Karen goes into labour and tells Matt something is wrong, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen has to find a way to survive the night and keep his family together.

Kory smiles at him sweetly, then she does something very unexpected. She bows. To him. Her head lowers as she dips, one hand fanning out the material of her cream gown, “My Lord.”
The air whooshes from his lungs and his tongue gets stuck to the roof of his mouth. Dangerous, he reminds himself, so very dangerous.
Kory straightens just as quickly, the laughter on her face tells him that his look of shock is a picture. Before she can leave or proper sense can return to him, Dick bows back to her. There’s a gasp of surprise from somewhere behind him. The God of the Underworld doesn’t bow. Not to anyone. Not to anything.
Even Kory looks shocked at his actions.
“Goddess.” He responds, no smile on his face as he straightens. Dick turns on his heel and parts the crowd in his hasty retreat to put some distance between himself and the Goddess of Spring.
This is not going to end well, he knows.

Kory scoffs, “If it was me with that bomb, or Rachel, or Gar, you would rip apart anyone who stood in your way to save us. You’d fight to the death and probably find a way to fight after it as well. You, Dick Grayson, would not waste time throwing a pity party like you’re already at your own wake.”
